  1. My first thought was that you dug a tool up from the iron age. Just kidding, nice job.
  2. Also, this kind of footpegs with grub screws (which provide too much grip i.m.o.) will wear out your soles quicker.
  3. GRO Gear Extreme 75W is recommended by GasGas, does not create drag and makes for a softer clutch action compared to ATF. Any, well known brand of two stroke oil should do.
  4. Yes, it's a combination of man made sections and the "natural" slopes of the clay quarry.
  5. Yes, I have a full Mitani system. On my previous 2008 4RT I had a 25.4mm Mitani front pipe which fitted perfectly in the Mitani rear exhaust. I sold this bike last year so can't take a picture of the joint. On my 2015 4RT I mounted the rear Mitani exhaust of my previous bike and I bought a 27mm Mitani front pipe. Because the connection part of the rear exhaust also has a 27mm outer diameter, I made a stainless steel split sleeve that goes over both pipes, which is held in place with a stainless steel exhaust clamp. I was assured by Josep Banyeres that a 26mm is more than enough for a 4RT, even with a 280cc kit, but I bought the 27mm because of the matching outer diameters. But I'm not sure that a 26mm front pipe will fit in the Mitani rear exhaust because that is made for the standard 25.4mm front pipe. I can't say this for sure though because it might have a reduced diameter at the joining part..
  6. I'm sorry but I can't find anything futuristic on it. Not even as a concept.

No need to dril out the flange if you use one of these:
  11. From Facebook: THE IRISH PROSTITUTE An Irish daughter had not been home for over 5 years. Upon her return, her Father cursed her heavily. 'Where have ye been all this time, child? Why did ye not write to us, not even a line? Why didn't ye call? Can ye not understand what ye put yer old Mother through?' The girl, crying, replied, Dad... I became a prostitute.' 'Ye what!? Get out a here, ye shameless harlot! Sinner! You're a disgrace to this Catholic family.' 'OK, Dad... as ye wish. I only came back to give mum this luxurious fur coat, title deed to a ten bedroom mansion, plus a 5 million savings certificate. For me little brother, this gold Rolex. And for ye Daddy, the sparkling new Mercedes limited edition convertible that's parked outside plus a membership to the country club ... (takes a breath) ... and an invitation for ye all to spend New Year's Eve on board my new yacht in the Riviera.' 'What was it ye said ye had become?' says Dad. Girl, crying again, 'A prostitute, Daddy!.' 'Oh! My Goodness! Ye scared me half to death, girl! I thought ye said a Protestant! Come here and give yer old Dad a hug !!

  13. At first I was a bit sceptical when a experienced twinshock friend advised me to put a higher handle bar on my Sherpa. I thought that there wouldn't enough weight on the front at steep climbs, but after mounting some SW-Motech bar risers and spending a day test riding at Bilstain, my fear turned out to be unfounded, and I gained some comfort by a more upright riding position, wich is nice. I also changed the tired old fork springs for some progressive ones from Magicals which really livened up the front.
  14. Yes, i've used the Elf for a long time (in my 315R and previous 4RT), and the GRO is slightly better. I'm using it in my 2015 4RT as well, together with Mitani clutch plates.
  16. Pierrer said he wasn't interested in GasGas.
  17. According to CEO Stephan Pierrer, KTM is looking into developing a trial bike in the next two years. I for one, am very curious what they come up with.
  18. I find that with the GRO Gear Extreme 75W, which is the same kind of oil, the clutch is even a little smoother.
