Low budget indoor trials championship! Me liky bery much

Same here.
Today I'll be mostly putting S3 clutch plates, with the correct thickness for easier clutch pull, in my 280.
-
I planned to put an Mitani clutch in my Monty but noticed while disassembling, I needed a tool to hold the clutch basket in order to remove the (very tight) central nut.
Luckely I have such good taste to not only ride a 4RT but also a 1988 BMW R100S. :-D
The spanner to loosen the exhaust star nuts on my Beemer was perfect for the job
-
And ATF oil makes it even more grabby than light transmission oils, so I'm told...
I'll be testing the Mitani clutch with aluminium plates shortly, it should improve the clutch action...

In Belgium at national events it is compulsory, as is the rear sprocket guard.
-
They're gonna be my next boots. After owning Alpinestars I'm going back to Gearne's

Not that easily no, you can mount it out of harm's way, and the lanyard stretches a lot before it pulls of the magnet.
I've got one about a year now and nothing out of the ordinary has happened yet.
I do have a spare magnet (sold separate) in my tool box, just in case...

On the left hand is just more practical. And when the bike gets away from you, usualy both hands are of the handle bars
-
Why?
Most common is on the other wrist.

According to the manual: 1.27 MPa (13 kgf/cm2)
(I don't think it matters how heavy you are)
-
Easy boy, there's no need to start swearing.
-
Another tip:
If it doesn't start from the first or second kick "reset" the throttle:
Open the throttle all the way and kick the starter slowly all the way down. It should start then with no problem.
-
I weigh more than 14 stone and a buddy of mine even more than that and our footpeg hangers are fine. Both 4RT's are over 5 years old and my bashplate is still the original one.
But maybe we're just lucky or your evidence is anecdotal
-
Maybe this is a problem with the '05 but I've got an '08 and have never been able to "confuse" the injection.
I just start the bike with no throttle, run it for a few minutes, "blipping" the throttle ( like the handbook says) until it warms up enough to idle, put my helmet and gloves on and away we go.

He (The Benelux Montesa importer) only said he usually goes on saturdays to that training spot.
I guess something else came up. O well, better luck next time...
-
-
I didn't have any luck today, the dealer didn't show up with the goods... bummer
-
-
With any luck I will be test riding the new 260 tomorrow. Can't wait...
-
Just to hear the opinion of others: I'm told that the standard 260 4RT rides better than the Race replica, it's got better suspension I'm told...
-
Could you post a picture? Normally the brake lever shouldn't touch anything when you ride over a slab...
