  1. They seem to have enough card punchers so I can compete tomorrow... Nice! Forecast: cloudy but dry... all right!

    4Rt Weight Watcher

I've weighed mine on bathroom scales with a full gas tank and the heavy front light mounted. It has lost about 1,2 kg to a standard bike (aluminium fuel tank base plate, minimum elektrics, titanium front exhaust pipe, some carbon parts...) It comes to 77,3 kg or 170,4 lbs
  3. The road (homologation) kit of a GasGas contains a stiffer rear mudguard. The montesa road kit has a extra plastic inner mudguard. I also have a carbon extension on my airbox under the mudguard (to keep water away from the airbox) This also supports the mudguard a bit better. These make the rear mudguard a bit stronger but I don't think they will hold when you slide to far back. Don't know if their is something simillar for Sherco. Like Zippysaid: don't move so far back and their will be no problem, or learn to wheely standing up
  4. So probably about 66 kg with all the fluids
  5. I used this to lower each wheel gently on the scales...
  6. My 2012 GasGas TXT 280 Racing weighs 68,6 kg or 151,2 lbs (bathroom scales)
  7. When you've got a large syringe, just push the fluid from the caliper to the open master cylinder reservoir. Empty the reservoir a few times without removing the syringe, so you can push about 50cc through the system. Works every time for me.
  8. There's only a very small chance it's going to rain or snow in the weekend...
  9. If you want to make a shaft drive that has no influence on the suspension, you need a complicated construction ( see paralever on BMW motorcycles) I would prefer an enclosed belt drive...
  10. I think that's the major problem with our sport. If you're not a trials rider you'll probably never heare of the sport. It doesn't get any TV coverage here in Belgium ( It used to when Eddy Lejeune was winning world titles) And there is very little or no promotion of the sport such as trial schools etc.. Changing the rules (stop or no stop) or the bikes won't make much difference i.m.o.
  11. It could be that I've read a bad translation (from French). Maybe he started competition 3 years ago? In any case, my apologies.
  12. This 16 year old kid started trials 3 years ago and will be competing in the world cup next year. The video was made 2 years ago when he was just 14!
  13. Fantastic! Do you bring your awesome souding Ducati?
  14. And make sure you lay the bike on it's side when you mount the clutch cover, to make sure the clutch parts stay in their place...
  15. I beg to differ. I'm overweight but I definitely feel the advantage of a lighter bike.
  16. Most classic trials in Europe are done that way, except maybe in the Expert class. Video's of our event last year:
  17. Next weekend I'll be mostly punching cards at our Classic trial... which is nice
