    Spark Plug Torque?

I almost always use a torque wrench on my spark plugs. I also put anti seize pasta on the threads to protect the threads but also because it contains oil, and to achieve the correct torque value the threads must always be oiled. By the way, the torque value for the 10mm spark plug of my 4RT is 16 Nm or 12 Lbf-Ft For 14mm spark plugs it's about 22 Nm or 16 Lbf-Ft But always consult your bike's manual for the correct value.
  2. These days I've been mostly practicing rear wheel pivot turns. But knowing my luck, I'll probably end up upside down in some ditch... Oooh bugger! But seriously, pivot turns on the rear wheel are more fun, don't take so much energie and look way cooler than hopping the front wheel around. Not that I've got anything against hopping the rear or front wheel, they have there use in some situations... And Zippy, almost everybody has one side in which it's easier to do some things. I find it easyer to hop the front wheel to the left, take left hand turns with my road bike and hop the rear wheel to the right. Humans are asymetrical: one boob is almost always larger than the other one too
  3. Yeh but when he's buggin and phoning them, they aren't working working on the bike, so if he leaves them to it, the sooner his bike will be ready, you know. I ain't botherred though
  4. Have you searched this forum for suspension settings? There's already a lot written about it... O well, here's something to read: http://www.gasgas.com/Pages/Technical/trials-suspension-tips.html
  5. About the uncleanable section, and for most rock garden or river bed sections with lots of rocks: Try to ride on top of the rocks (as you do), riding between the rocks will throw you easyer off balance. Also, a bit more speed in such sections helps a lot to gain balance... (excuse my bad english)

    Engin Cleaned

Nice! Is that soda vapor blasting? Very clean.
  11. On a hot summer day, on a mountain road, with plenty of throttle, even a trial bike will get hot. You don't need to be a pro trials rider to load an engine. And as I mentioned before, my 1988 BMW touring motorcycle with only 50 horse power, by no means a sport bike, had blue pipes as most BMW boxers, when you rode it a bit faster on the highway. By the way, the spark plugs on both bikes always have a normal color, no indication of a lean burning engine whatsoever.
  12. They look exactly like the AllBalls seal kit that I have. Could you give us the dimensions that are on the seals? And where did you buy them?

This weekend, 24 and 25 august, one of the, if not the best trial in Flanders. Location Egem-Pittem, 25km south of Brugge. World Cup rider Dec Bullock will also take part... Nice!
  14. DOH! Your correct, it's for a SX 65, my bad :-) And if you use the original Bultaco dust seals, you only need one oil seal a side of course
  15. I've got a Pyramide oil and dust seal kit but I don't know the part number anymore. I'll try to find it later. Anyway, only the oil seal has the right dimensions (35-47-7) and it looks like a standard double oil seal (spring loaded oil lip and a small dust lip) The dust seal in this kit has got the wrong outer diameter, 50mm. I also ordered a AllBalls seal kit (part n° 56-143). Any (MX) shop should be able to order these, they are normally used in KTM 80cc bikes. The oil seal (35-47-10) has got two spring loaded seal lips, the bottom one has got even two lips. The (spring loaded) dust seal (35-47,4-4,6/14) should fit (altough outer dia. is 0,4mm to large) but I'm afraid it does not go deep enough (4,6mm) in the fork to stay in place Maybe it will stay in place when I cut of the edge so it will sit deeper in the fork. I will know more when I fit the seals but I first have to order new fork springs before I get around to that...
  16. You may have to search a bit but most bearing sizes are there: (Be advised: I don't know if some Bultaco bearings have more play than standard, for instance C3,) http://www.francetri.../en/21-bearings Seals: http://www.francetri...en/16-oil-seals No worry's mate
  17. Which of these two would you recommend? (Spelling Checked by Google translate )
  18. Man I wish I had such a training facility near my home ;-) You lucky bas...
