  1. Silver it is. (scratches don't show so easy on silver to, which is nice...)
  2. Hey, don't hold back. I want to hear your opinion :-)
  3. Or should I paint the frame in the original silver as Pschrauber suggested... hmmmm?

    Good Video

Nice video, great soundtrack! But it seems he's the only contender...
  5. Wouldn't know, we don't know the history of the bike...
  6. There is a type of lanyard that attaches to the waist, so you can hug trees... In Belgium, at national events the lanyard kill switch and the rear sprocket guard are compulsory.
  7. the previous owner made a mess welding the footrests so I have to do it again. I was planning to paint the frame black and put some black mudguards on it, I think it will be nice... Other changes/ repairs: - Clutch with actual friction material - New crank-shaft seals and one new seal plate/holder ( was cracked) - Keihin carburettor. Bing slide was very worn and carb kept flooding - Electronic ignition - new steering bearings - and some more small stuff... Other changes planned in the near future: - Magical rear shocks and progressive fork springs - Air filter housing needs to be repaired (has a one-piece Twin Air filter now) And some day maybe: - New brake-hub lining... Thanks for the comment by the way :-)
  8. And don't forget to have some fun with your GasGas in between all the practicing!

    Hi

Welkom and have fun with your Scorpa!
  10. Hi brt650, yes I went to the 2 day event in aywaille (Belgium) but the carb kept flooding and had to give up after 6 non-stops. I was completely nackered from kickstarting 3 times for half an hour In the meanwile: He's getting the full treatment...

    Led Rear Light

I've got the stadard lightswitch on the handlebars of my 4RT and have this very small tail light: http://www.louis.de/_10b996a60397693f6cca36c46b4c560cd0/index.php?topic=artnr_gr&artnr_gr=10033004 Woks very well, even the stop light.
  15. A good balance exercise is riding as slow as possible making circels to the left and the right, as tight as possible, controling your speed by the rear brake and throttle. Keep practicing until you can do that with the handlebars full lock left and right. Practice the same but in a figure of 8. To make it more interesting, try the same things on a slope. To make balancing easyer when standing still, turn the handlebars full lock to the left or the right, and aply both brakes. O yeah: really flat tyres make it much easyer ;-)
  16. I have used Elf HTX 740 for almost 10 years, first in my 315R and later in my 4RT. It's no bad oil, but there's a better one: GRO Gear Extreme 75W, very smooth clutch action, no drag ( so this problem: "when I start cold engine and after few minutes put in to the gear it wants to start even with the clutch on" should go away) , much easyer to get the bike in neutral... (When changing to another oil: change the oil, ride around the blok and change the oil again) ATF oil will improve your clutch action in the same way, (search this forum and you will be the wiser!) To "reset" the trottle: one kick should do the trick. Warming your bike up the official Montesa way: "Cold Engine Starting 1. Shift the transmission into neutral. 2. With the throttle fully closed, operate the kickstarter. Starting from the top of the kickstarter stroke, kick through to the bottom with a rapid, continuous motion. 3. After the engine starts, run it for a few minutes, “blipping” the throttle, until it warms up enough to idle." (Now you can ride away, but don't put to much load on the engine before the fan starts for the first time) Did you try to start it in gear with the clutch engaged?
  17. Shocks can go bad, even when not in use: The rubber seals go hard and crack after a long time. They also go bad when they had a hard life: sand, mud etc. damages the rod and seals after time. Fox makes one of the best suspensions for mountainbikes and MX bikes, don't know if they make trial shocks... I'm also considering a new pair of shocks for my T350, here are some nice ones: http://www.themagicals.co.uk/ http://www.rockshocks.co.uk/ http://www.falconshockabsorbers.co.uk/index2.html (I bought some NJB shocks but I'm considering of sending them back, not the quality I expected...)
  18. No it's his American cousin.
