  1. Very good point Heath. Barcelona comes to mind when Bou was the pathfinder in the qualifier and in the final and beat Raga and Caby by a fair margin. Aside from his wins Raga was never off the podium wheras Caby , Fajardo and Bou were inconsistent
  2. The very easy course of the wednesday night series is easy enough to be ridden by anyone who can ride a motorbike to be honest. It's just to get people used to how a trial works without having to worry too much about the difficulty. Short sections and puch cards so if you five it you can ask the observer about it so you can get it clean next time round.
  3. The easiest trials to go for at scarborough are the wednesday night series which start on 19th april. They have a Very easy, easy and hard route. Weekend club trials vary in difficulty depending on whether they are a club trial or open to centre. Wednesday night trials are easiest Club trials are harder than wednesday night trials Centre trials are harder than club trials Regional restricted trials are harder than centre trials National trials are harder than regional restricted trials Best bet is to get your sen to a weekend trial and have a look at a couple of sections (not when there's a rider going through) and remember where the yellow flags were. Next time you go to practise have a go at some sections and see how you get on. If you do allright on them ride a weekend trial at clubmen B. If you don't like the look of a section just ask for a 5 or if you don't know where your going just ask an observer and they'll help you out. hope this has helped Rob
  4. Not before everyone else does
  5. Saw an 06 sherco today with black centres and blue edges.Think black looks better though.
  6. I can't go this year, clashes with family holiday
  7. Washed my bike + boots tonight, went outside and my boots were rock hard and the water had froze to my bike
  8. Yeh just to the side so you can still let other cars by. stick to the side of the road when you ride down as well where it's less hard-packed.
  9. We parked at the bottom of reesty bank where you turn onto the road that goes to the gate. Then just rode the bikes to the gate.
  10. If you mean at top of Reesty bank then yeh (attachment still isn't working )
  11. Have to agree with that We went for both days last year and on the Saturday you get to see the riders practise, have a wander bout the trade village and see the demonstration
  12. Yeh, I went up today and if the trial ran tomorrow at least someone would end up getting stuck near the gate. Even the beck was part frozen !! p.s how do I put pics on this reply
  13. James Dabill, Ian Austermuhle and Micheal Brown seem to jump them around allright
  14. Did you touch wood when you said that?
  15. James Carr has skimmed flywheel weight off his. Contact Birketts if I were You
  16. Probably because they've been made properly
  17. Between sections the riders need a clear run. Last year on Doug's second lap people flocked to see him at each section then got in his way when he tried to get to the next. Firstly he shouted "mind your backs please!!" Then when he got a bit more wound up he revved his 4RT instead of shouting. Made a few people jump It sort of defeats the object when you cheer Doug through a section then get in the way which could cause time penalties
  18. World championship - 1 Lampkin (if he doesn't have any big crashes ) 2 Raga 3 Fuji Junior cup 1 Micheal Brown 125cc 1-Alexz Wigg
  19. Another reason why explaining trials is such a pain in the a***. You just know some prats going to ask- " How fast does it go?" to which you reply... " I don't know but your soon going to find out how fast my hand goes round the back of you head!!"
  20. You should say yes,I do that. That was one of the trials from the beginner series I understand how irrating it is to explain trials, because it's difficult for people to grasp the idea of bikes NOT racing . The problem with there being 4 spannish riders in the series extends from the spannish youth funding scheme really as far as the quality of the riders goes. The series is run by spanniards for the spaniards. If you were to have more riders from different countries riding, the problem then becomes how difficult do you set the sections . Either the spaniards will yawn their way through the sections Or the riders from other countries will be falling all o'er the place On the other hand though.... people are wowed when they see people jumping massive steps - on a motorcycle The progress of the sport shouldn't be halted (one reason i'm behind switching to the FIM ruling on stoping but thats another topic)
  21. You need to decide whether you want a 20"(similar wheelsize to a BMX) or 26"(similar wheelsize to a mountainbike). The cheapest price you'll get new is about 150quid for a saracen 26"wheeled trials bike from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SARACEN-2-SIX-TRIALS...1QQcmdZViewItem
  22. Have to agree with you - sold my renthal fatbars no hassle.great service
