  1. NO, NO, NO. I tell you, the only thing that these pr#cks understand is violence, extreme violence, not sneaking about with brake fluid. Think about it, the XR3 is probably a no tax or insurance ringer, and they have obviously got no respect for anyone elses property, so why would they worry about there own. If thier paint comes off, the little gits will just go and relieve someone else of thier car to replace it. On the other hand, if they can't walk for six months, how will they be able to pick up thier giros, go shoplifting, stealing etc. You know it makes sense!!
  2. Those raptor titanium footrest plates look like a good bet for strength!, Not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and all that!
  3. Best bet is to introduce them to "Bertie", the baseball bat, cos the police will wash thier hands seing as you have the bike back. Get a few mates, and literally Kick the living Sh*t out of them. It may not stop the scum sucking filth dogs from doing it again, but they will think twice before coming back to have your bike> Not that I'm talking from experience, or any thing ...er , officer! Still on the plus side, at least you got them back! Top tip. Use a baby alarm in the garage, you can hear everything!!
  4. Quote: Best bet to slow the thing down is fit a programmable ECU & have it set on a softer setting. More expensive than an outsized sprocket but does the job properly, not just a workaround. You tried this then Perce?
  5. Maybe it actually looks like Dougies works 4rt when he's
  6. I wonder if his next "project" involves a bmx bike and a harley engine? Jeeez, this guy is a proffesional? I suspect that he is a proffesional plonker, What a pile of lashed up scrap! Anyone bidding on this heap needs their head tested, Unless it's a fisherman, looking for a suitable anchor.. "Quote" where does the fuel go on the ebay bike..Hopefully all over it, followed shortly by a match!!
  7. It looks like the 4rt which fuji competed on at last years Japanese round. Possibly the limited edition "Japanese market" 4rt (called a Honda rtl, over there). Same bike- different BNG's (Bold New Graphics) Why cant we have plastics like that over here? The 05 ones were a bit cr*p looking, compared to this
  8. Official secrets act, if he told you, he'd have to kill you
  9. Or lurchers. mine loves bunnies! (loves to catch them, that is)
  10. Or you could try one of the dealers off the front page, who support this site!
  11. That looks cool! I will expect nothing less than a full feature in the next issue of Back street heroes. Customised trials bikes are going to be the next big thing.!!
  12. Quote:has anyone tested any lower footrest brackets, any good? I previously ordered a set of mitani ones, but found them to be actually higher than stock about 5mm and further back by about 3mm, so sent them back. (for a full refund, i might add.) I may have simply got a rogue set, and in fairness there was no quibble on my refund, but i would advise on checking them out first. Sorry ludde, i didn't get the chance to try them out!
  13. Blimey gordon, disc brakes, next thing you know it will be water cooling. Only kidding. Having tried the drum brakes on my fantic, discs are HIGHLY recommended. Go forth and treat yourself to a disc front end.
  14. The carb to the 03 and 04 mont was changed. If your one is that bad, and cleaning it doesn't work, you could fit an 03/04 carb.It costs(if memory serves me) about
  15. Oil is cheap, engine rebuilds ain't. (especially for four strokers) I also change the oil frequently, about 15-20 hrs use, or three trials. Air filter gets cleaned after every ride, using PJ1 filter cleaner. The amount of cr*p that comes out of it is surprising, and i'd rather it in the sink than my engine internals. Plug is still the original. Valves checked every 6-7 trials. Starts up second or third time, and, hopefully will last an age, because it will take me an age to gain the neccesary skills to exploit the bike's capabilities!!
  16. Very trick, Subira, Lots of quality kit, obviously sourced from around the globe, That little lot must have emptied the wallet a bit, (i can talk!) but what the hell, you only live once, and i'll bet no one else had one anything like it! I love the hand weded front pipe, never heard of the company that made it. did you notice any difference with the lower/ further back peg mounts? Just curious Very cool bike!
  17. The plates are new, of course they will seem good, especially compared to your old ones, Sorry to disappoint you, but i have also had cr250 clutch plates in my last 315. They will work well for a (very) short while before te dreaded drag sets in. If you want a decent clutch action for your 315, go the Sureflex plates and elf htx740 or silkolene pro srg7 oil route. The cr plates are cheap, but at the end of the day, it's a false economy. When i had the cr plates in, if memory serves me well it was only two trials and one practice session, and they were done. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Buddy!
  18. Blimey, this post just goes to show the amount of sheer hard graft put in by (presumably) unpaid voulunteers, in thier time off from work, simply to make the greatest trial in the world, possible.. Doing this for six or seven days on the trot, it must feel as if you have done the scottish yourselves! I take my hat off to each and every one of you.
  19. Thats impressive, excuse my ignorance, but who's the rider, any ideas?
  20. Ahh, memories........ That's a fine looking ty you have there jackman Top marks, it looks mint! Congratulations, you have just inspired me to get on with my own "project" I'm off to the shed, ..
  21. Ishy, were both bikes identical in the restrictor removal dept. ie.running restrictors or not, do you know? Just curious!
  22. No trimming required for the filters. Have fun!
  23. I take it that you have been putting it into neutral before starting it. You arm't supposed to start them in gear, mine is a pig to start in gear ie. in the middle of a section, when you just want to get going. When you are kicking it, use no throttle. I would also check the valves, the state of the spark plug, and if you power wash it, water can get into the connectors, check them . My mate had this happen to him last week, and couldn't get it started. He tries all the usual things, electric wise , including changing coils, resistance readings etc, before discovering the water. How we laughed four hours later,(not). Mine has recently started to be slow to start when hot, which it never used to, but i'm only talking 5-6 kicks.
  24. Don't worry cota kid, a red sprocket is on order. Yokes also powdercoated. The smooth finish saves them from getting grubby, as the standard cast finish seems to attract cack. It is also easier to clean the hubs etc. Don't know how well the wheel coating will fare when i get to a rocky trial. time will tell i suppose! G4321 may laugh about the sprocket colour, but it's all in the detail. I did think of pinstriping the wheel rims, a la moto gp, but thought it may be a bit much. What do you lot think. All views will be taken into consideration.
  25. Oh , er, right. That explains it! The frame he used has the cradle under the engine. I am not doubting you r2w, but it looks like a 240.
