Remove the piston from the master cylinder and remove any gunk that has built up on it , my brakes used to stick on a bit when the piston wouldn't fully return.

Is petrol tank is vented properly? Tank vacuuming and not releasing fuel? Run it with petrol cap off to see if it dies

grip the outer leg in a vice and run the bolt in with a battery drill on medium torque setting, then final tighten by hand. seemed to work for me. any other way the inner just spun as it started to tighten up. oh ye, also put the spring in and top cap on, its helps

Possibly muck stuck behind the washer on the master cylinder, not letting the clutch auto bleed itself, or the adjustment screw on the lever in too far doing the same thing

Depends on how/what you want to ride, British champs prob not, there's a whole clan of us who ride them together, 6 out of ten of us on the beta 4 stroke all of different ages/abilities , all had various bikes and all love the 4 stroke beta, STD 250 really soft, tweaked 300 bags of power

same here, pin that the gear drives on the water pump shaft had fallen out. remove the water pump cover and check to see if you can spin the impeller without any resistance if it does spin then the pin has fallen out.
