You’re not alone, I’m still trying to get my brake light working, currently trying a separate battery circuit to see if that will work.
-
Congratulations, best bikes you can get! Parts availability will depend on where in the world you are?
-
It’s a long time since I last did mine, but from memory removed everything you can - tank, seat, exhaust, side panels, put the bike on it’s side and lift out. If you’re going to paint the frame whilst it’s apart put lots of protection on it before refitting the engine…
-
It’s had a lot of use since that photo, but still tidy and well maintained!

They never did it for me, but little Len had one from Bob Gollner and did alright on it…

In my experience Betor customer service is a bit hit and miss, and I gave up trying to buy anything from them. I’ve just bought a new set of rear shocks for my Alpina from Ivan Cirre.
-
I’ve known Dave since the mid 70’s, we rode schoolboy trials together . I’ve had a response from Betor today, apparently all their Alpina shocks are the same, it’s only the spring colour that changes. I only do mild greenlaning on it so no great stress.
-
Fair point, the chrome spring ones, 340mm centres, are listed on the Betor website as 9340CGMC and for the Alpina 85, 137, 165 & 187. For the 213 the part number is 9340 - hang on, I’ve just check again and since Friday the part number on the website has changed!! It’s now the same as the others but is 10€ more! I’m confused…

Hi One B = frame M = motor http://ossa.2y.net/ossa/reference/ossaref.html This will give some idea as to year / model, but will not be exact, but @woody will know more
-
Hi all I need to replace the rear shocks, I’m staying with Betor for originality but their website lists black springs for the 213, but the originals were chrome. They do list others for earlier Alpinas with chrome springs with the correct length and mounting size, but will they fit? I have tried their customer service but no help. Inmotion list the same shock for all Alpina models soI guess I should be OK…

Just had a look at the DVLA website and apparently the TL125 I bought new from Gordon Farley vis still taxed - does someone on here own it now?
-
At least that way you’ll have plenty of options
