Of course just because it gets cold doesn't mean you have to stay inside. a few studs in the tires and jet the carb a little and some long johns and you are good to go...

Certainly if you are from New (and improved) Scotland - Nova Scotia .

Congratulations... Welcome to the Sherco family

I have an older HEBO that I like.
Anybody try the newer ones with the cool shades?
-
If you are interested you can order direct from Ryan great guy to deal with, kind of nice supporting a fellow trials rider who went to the bother of putting together a great DVD to grow the sport... https://secure.rypusa.com/catpage.cfm?cat_selected=84

They seem to do well for Emma Bristow .
Let us know how they work out... My Hebo boots will need replacing one of these days and I do like the look of the Stylemartin. The new Hebo boots with the fancy tensioner might be worth a look at as well.

Yeah it is funny how the internet and just media in general can portray things much differently than they really are.
Kind of like the tag line "There are but three events in a man's life: birth, life, and death. He is not conscious of being born, he dies in pain, and he forgets to live". The reality is many people remember their kids coming into this world as a joyous occasion, many people live their lives to the fullest and get to experience many wonders (especially trials riders) many people die in peace having had one hell of a good ride...
I guess it just depends how you look at stuff .

A little pent up frustration there ???
I like my Sherco too .
Sorry no advice for lifting stickers... do you use a power washer on them?

I told my wife she was just having a man flu one time... she called a girl friend who took her to the hospital then called me a couple hours later to let me know my wife had been cardio verted twice (shock paddles)... boy was she upset. I wish I had known that women couldn't get man flu it would have saved me many days in the dog house... We laugh about it now but it wasn't terribly funny at the time.

Given your criteria I would hedge towards the Vertigo. You would most likely be one of the first kids on your block to have one. It looks pretty cool, it is designed so that a novice can ride it but will perform to the highest level of the sport. From all reports it checks all your boxes (assuming you don't mind the colour green). You are not looking to trade a current bike so their current sales model wouldn't be an issue for you.

Chest mount does seem to get the best point of view. Given that people seem to think camera's stuck to you are dangerous I would seriously consider tracking devices... you can buy drones that will follow you or something like this is pretty cool as well

I also agree it seems to be a very different way of selling. It seems they are giving away very little information and really encouraging people to talk to them if they are interested. They do seem to have all the latest as far as facebook and twitter feeds so maybe targeting more people who are living in this decade . The specs are out there if people google them I agree though it is a different approach and a different bike - I like it.

seems like a similar discussion when GG went up for sale... most are still trying to figure out that evaluation as well.
-
Seems like they might be selling them as fast as they can produce them. Serious buyers seem to be figuring it out. Great to see them getting off to a good start. In the states they are being handled by Lewisport USA. I'm not sure who will be importing them here in Canada.

If you are truly interested just drop them a note... info@vertigomotors.com
There is lots of info on this forum but the highlights are: They are currently having ride days and the first round of bikes have been sold but more will be arriving soon.

I like the way this demonstrates if you don't get it the first time - keep trying! You will eventually get it (and be really happy when you do). It doesn't seem to matter much what sort of rider you are these type of challenges are what makes the sport so much fun. For me it can be something as simple as getting over 2 logs that are just the wrong distance apart... it may take multiple practice sessions but once you get it is a real sense of accomplishment.

Well given your other 2 bikes I am guessing you have a pretty good feel for riding bikes in lots of different types of situations. Trials is another type of riding totally. I had 5 bikes in the stable when I got my first trials bike, I got a second hand GG, after a few years I realized I loved the sport (and saved up some money) I got a new 2015 Sherco (I actually like the tank in the rear). If you don't want to start out on the cheap side I would at the very least go to a few events and swing your leg over as many bikes as you can. I am always happy to loan my bike to a person who would like to ride a section or 2. See what sort of things you will be doing with your bike, if you plan on hitting 6ft high splatters lean towards at least a 250 If you are going to be challenged enough on the clubman route a 200 might be more than enough bike. Trials is a lot different in person than it is on you tube or forums - People are super friendly and what looks super easy on the internet... isn't. If you like a good challenge Trials is for you - finding the right bike is just the first obstacle of many .
BTW be sure to look at the new Vertigo and TRS they both look awesome (not as awesome as a Sherco though).
Cheers,
Michael - Team Sherco.

I would think it would depend on the particular forest you would like to ride in. Often times permission can be granted depending on which governing body is responsible for the land, Private, Municipal, County, Province, State, National. Here in Nova Scotia you are allowed on any trail that does not have a sign stating that you can't ride on it. I have yet to see assign restricting electric bikes

Looks like a 2015 Cabestany Factory model as it has Cabestany on the front fender and it has the 2 yellow spokes to show where to put air in the tire .
-
Maybe with all these new players on the market there may be a stronger push to market the sport itself. The new brands may feel the market is much larger than a few old guys chatting on forums. Some really good marketing initiatives towards kids out buying $5,000 mountain bikes might gain some great returns... who knows but it could make for very interesting times
