  1. Seeing as I am going from being very happy with a 200... the fact that the 250 sounds manageable is AWESOME news !
  2. I would also be interested to know... mine should arrive in a couple of weeks
  3. The simplest is probably to post it on you tube then post a link to it here.
  4. Always good to have a photography nut handy when putting on a trials event . It is always great to practice with others, especially if they know what they are doing. I am always pleasantly surprised when another rider points out something I am doing wrong, it typically makes a noticeable difference. We received more snow today so it is great to read about people out riding... I'm going to work on the GG today polishing it up a bit before selling it.

    Vertigo Launch

With such a big lead you have to wonder if the bike is simply better designed for non stop out door type trials. It will be interesting to see how the world outdoor events play out for Vertigo.
  6. Sorry for going off topic... that crash wasn't even down hill or off camber. I actually changed the section for the remainder of the novice riders when I realized it was a little trickier than I thought when I set the section .
  7. hope fully my a*** will stay more in the air as well...
  8. I'm starting to feel really good about joining team Sherco ! Awesome to see the top of the podium !
  9. If that is true, it is going to be a big adjustment going from 2002 tires (and bike) to brand new ... not to mention going from a 200 to a 250, can't wait !!!
  10. This year has been unbelievable for snow. We didn't get any until February then we got one storm after another not just snow but snow followed by rain followed by flash freezing. The worst was this week we got over 60 cm in a span of 3 days. I was away in BC and got back just in time for the last big snow... they are calling for more this weekend but I don't know where to put it. I heard on the CBC today (local radio like the BBC in the UK) that people should refrain from talking about it in social media as it may lead to depression - but I'm thinking people in other parts of the world will just get a good chuckle -
  11. I still have the original tires on my 2002 GG I really should flip them as the leading edges are starting to wear down but it looks like I have a buyer for the bike so will leave the fresh edges for him .
  12. I just got back from Vancouver I wish I had known you had a bike sitting idle I would have loved to have given it a try... I was thinking of the EM5.7 but I ended up going with Sherco it was a tough decision as I am sure the EM5.7 would do everything I would want in a bike and here in NS I could probably even get a street plate for it (how fun would that be)... I guess there is always next year .
  13. I think you are right Heather! Going slow is the key, really slow but smooth and controlled you can see in the video how slow Ryan is going. I was in British Columbia last week and had a chance to watch some very talented young riders practicing, they where doing slow speed wheelies up a steep road with switch backs and driving at a walking pace, going through the turns never dropping the front wheel, very different seeing that sort of thing in person compared to in a video, you typically don't see people riding so slowly, the control was unreal - very impressive.

    Vertigo Launch

I don't buy that... he had his ice ties for sale after the video shoot can't really see anything he was doing that would be bike specific... my guess is RedBull sponsors GG riders .
  18. I'm actually pretty involved in Biathlon we go both up and down - life is more fun that way I do think watching guys racing on that course with ice skates is a bit more exciting than Dougie but still looks like a bit of good fun. http://youtu.be/r8WzvNgpaL4

  20. I'm on my way... with no snow for skiing out there, I might get more time to ride . It actually looks very similar to a riding area we have locally. Really looking forward to visiting your coast. Cheers, Michael
  21. Try placing a smaller rock at the base of the big rock allows the rear wheel to get that little extra kick. I'm not talking about a kicker a few feet out in front but one right up against the rock you are trying to jump up on. Post a video of how you make out.
  22. Came across this while bike shopping... hit a bit close to home
