  1. Bikes dont sell because we are in a recession its not just trials bikes its all bike, cars ,caravans ,houses you name it dont sell,no stop aint gonna change that,
  2. Simple, keep trials as spectacular as possible, get more youth involved because they are the future of trials and because they are the ones that are going to be able to run at the front and forget no stop, mind you having said that i have just seen a clip of cabestany riding no stop and have to say its not as boring as i first thought but definately not as exciting as stop allowed and he fived the section every time.
  3. 5000 extra Joe Blogs would be good for trials, especially if they were youth riders, then we would have plenty that could ride at top level.
  4. No its not hearsay had it from the horses mouth, admittedly i have not spoken to all of them, but like i said they are sponsored by the manufactures and importers so they aint gonna shout to loud, but if you go to the TC main page you will see the majority decision of the public by a long way goes toward stop allowed,no point banging you]re head against the wall ,common sense really.
  5. So advertising does work then, which is what the rest of the country need to do in stead of keeping it top secret and then not being able to understand why entries are down and they need to encourage youth riders into the sport because they are the future of trials and they aint gonna do that with old no stop rules.
  6. Well lets just say Motocross manage to do it which is a lot more popular than trials with bikes that are a lot louder and damage the ground considerably more and as for the best trials being over subscribed, thought the entries were down and that was one of the reasons why the ACU want to introduce the no stop rule
  7. Very entertaining, proper talent, excuse me while i go and watch it again.
  8. The trouble with our sport is it does'nt get advertised, local clubs dont advertise, the results dont get posted on to local tabloids, nobody knows about trials.Trials is a very secretive sport that happens on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon in a woods or bottom of valley miles from anywhere.
  9. No,only heard on messages from some of the top riders,Most of the top riders will not express there opinion publicly for fear of upsetting there sponsors who will be the manufactures or importers who are in favour of no stop.
  10. Well judging by the comments on Facebook & Twitter i would say WTC with stop allowed, agree with you we all differ but the majority are in favour of stop allowed, not that it will make any difference to the ACU or FIM.
  11. Well said Andy, could not have said it better myself,my son is 10yrs old and does trials,he also has a trials push bike & all he wants to do is the trick riding,if people want no stop then do twinshock or have a word with there club ,but to introduce it at national & international level is like jumping out of a plane without a parachute.
  12. Yea why have two sets of rules when there is nothing wrong with the stop allowed rule and i dont think for one minute that going no stop is going to get people running to the dealers to buy new bikes and as for Sheffield being packed that Wham song WAKE ME UP BEFORE YOU GO GO comes to mind.
  13. Most of the kids doing trials have also got trials push bikes and thats not to practice no stop trials.Oh well look on the bright side at least thats one DVD "WTC" we wont have to buy end of next yr.
  14. Sadly not,i for one will have no interest in watching no stop trials, watched it late 70s early 80s did nothing for me then.Similar cock up happened in Moto GP ,when they were 500cc 2 strokes the governing body decided they would like to save the plant and introduced the 990 cc four stroke then they decided the 990 was to fast and needed to slow them down so they introduced the 800cc which ended up being faster than the 990 because it could carry faster corner speed now they have gone back to 1000cc.
  15. Ok fair comment, but to me they just look out of control, hanging on by the skin of there teeth and when they do get to end of section i think to myself was that skill or luck.
  16. No because the ACU & FIM would not listen anyway, the poll on the front page is not starting to favour ,it has favoured stop allowed from the start by a big margin. The top riders should be asked what they want, after all they are the ones that have to ride it.
  17. Dont know how you can say you enjoy watching no stop to stop allowed, but each to there own ,as for only a handful or riders can ride like this, isn't that the same at any top level motorcycle sport.
  18. Great shame the ACU & FIM didn't do a public vote before they made there decision .
  19. Yes i agree the top riders would still win, just there would not be anybody there to watch them do it "extremely boring having watched stop allowed trials"As for making it simple, then it has to be stop allowed, that way you dont have to watch there wheels with a magnifying glass have watched a couple of no stop BTC events on utube and am sure the wheel has stopped but they still get a clean seems to me that you are allowed to stop but only for a split second, much easier with stop allowed rules, must be a nightmare for the observer.
  20. Heard on the grape vine that Toni Bou wants to keep in the theme of no stop trials and is considering a TLR 200 for nxt yr lol
  21. If the ACU dont listen to the top riders they aint gonna listen to you,as for the 2 BTC championships nxt yr we will wait to see which one will be the most popular, think we already know the answer to that one.
  22. ducati996

    Seized !

Check the main bearings they can also get damaged if bike revs flat out on its side.
  23. Gas Gas 50 boy is a favourite of the autos ,you can use it with clutch or without,as for the sherco 80 & the beta 80 there is no contest beta is far better & most popular.
  24. You see quite a few rev 50s on the market but the evo 50 with hydraulic clutch are hard to find, but yes Beta do make evo 80 medium wheel, but they are going to be big money and should have a few coming on the market soon as people start to buy the new bikes.
