Welcome along. What do you race at the min?Theres a few racers on here and i race an old pre inj r6.
Dont worry everyone has lots of questions about trials so ask away and im sure someone will be able to answer you.
Unless your handy with a spanner i wouldnt be buying a bike that has a misfire as could be many problems from plug to CDI unit which could be either free to fix or expensive to fix.
If it was an easy fix why wouldnt the owner fix it himself before selling it?
Sadly im not racing at knockhill this weekend. If i knew how good the weather was going to be then i would of.Aye we will probably know some of the same folk.
You will defo have fun on the trials bike thats for sure and its a bit safer than the race bike.
Welcome along and hope this time you get the trials bike.Where did you race?Just started racing last year and find trials good fun when im not in the paddock.
Looking to get myself something to get the beta and kit upto the trials so was wondering if it would all fit in the back of an older stlye Citreon berlingo multispace.Looking around an 05 plate so if anyone has tried this is it possible please.
Cheers
Hello and welcome. Is the idle set up right on the bike. There should be a Screw near the carb for this(Dont know about your exact model but most have it beside the mixture screw.)If this is right then best bet would be to try the pipe and see what happens as its wont be to hard a job to replace the pipe.
Welcome Mike.I was in your position last month as all i do is race now so needed something for fun and fitness and thats why i took up trials. Its great fun and help with bike control plus lets you get use to the bike sliding.Best thing is to try find your local club and then get talking to them.Sure you will enjoy it when you start.
Just bought a 250cc rev 3 and the original kill switch is still fitted to the bars but isnt wired up.Now having had a quick look at the wiring diagram and the bike it dosent really match up.There are what im guessing are plugs for the headlight(thats been removed) just behind the topyoke.
Does anyone have any idea if the killswitch wires will be in this plug or if i should just run a wire from the coil to the killswitch and back?Should i fit an aftermarket killswitch as heard some bad stories of the original killswitch failing?
Any help welcome.Cheers
I made a stand ages ago for my last bike and took no more than 5mins and some scrap from work.Think i made it 500mm high and put some alloy check-a-plate on top for some grip.
Just had a look through your topic and what a cracking job you have done of the bike.Dont sell it as you would regret it for sure.Instead of getting a trailer and passing your test try get a tow bar and one of the bike carriers you get that bolt to the tow bar save you the cash for the test.Either that or have a chat with the guys in the nearest club to see if there is anyone local that could transport your bike to trials for you till you can get something sorted yourself.
I have just bought a 2004 Beta rev3 250 and its more than good enough for anything i can do.Dont need anything more than a 250 unless your using it for fast flat out stuff.Buy the newest bike you can find and buy on condition.
Well im just about to buy myself a trials bike to get started and will be enjoying the practice and having fun doing it.Not sure of all the different rules and was looking to get into trials to keep me bike fit for when im racing on track where there are lots of rules and seriousness.Sure i will pick up the rules when i go to enter my 1st trial and go from there.
Hi and welcome.I have just been to Bob macgregor trails academy this weekend to get me started in trials riding and its a great place to go.Friendly and helpful thats for sure its between Dunlop and neilston south of glasgow.Search on facebook for them or pm me and i can send you the details of someone.
Hi just joined the forum after having a great day out at Bob Macgregor Trials Academy.1st time on a trails bike and had a great time so now looking to get my own and have some fun on it.Looking forward to joining in the forum and having some fun.
Now a boring wee bit about me.
Started riding motorcross bikes at the age of 14 but after 3 years on them got told to keep off them as i had done so much damage to my knees they couldnt withstand the jumps anymore. Then at the age of 18 i got my road licence and have been riding on the road for the past 6 years getting faster and faster so at the beginging of this year i took the plunge and started track racing on a CBR600F and have been enjoying it but need something to keep me fit and for a bit of fun so im selling my road bike to fund buying a trial bike.Cant wait to spend some nights mucking around on the trials bike and falling off. :D
Cheers.
