  1. Tie breaks done with TSR25 in the ACU regs - most cleans. Michael had ONE more clean in the week than Jarvis - incredible! There were plenty other tie-breaks to keep us busy too....hence the reason I'm still here! Best dash off to this ceremony or I'll be in bother!
  2. John Moffat's your man for the Wiki - nobody can compare with the amount of knowledge he manages to stack up. I've no idea how he manages it - he's done a sterling job on Nevis Radio this week, and has provided us with a fair bit of entertainment throughout! Atom - come up here and see the SSDT for yourself - you'll soon understand why the BBC don't televise it! There's very few sections they'd be able to lug their equipment to without going to the excesses of helicopters and suchlike, and as JD pointed out on the radio this morning, it's a relatively small market which wouldn't justify the costs involved in covering it.
  3. Oooohhh - there's tons! If you're really that interested, have a nosey through the Supplementary Regs, but the usual suspects are : missing three or more sections in a day missing an entire hill coming in more than sixty minutes late changing bikes, or marked parts of bikes That's as exciting as it gets!
  4. Excluded. It's riders who are out of the trial, but have opted to continue riding on a 'no award' basis - they get to ride round (within the rules of the trial) as if they're still competing, get to see their scores and their placings, but don't get an award at the end of the week.
  5. Laia has a knee injury which, as far as I can gather, isn't too serious but probably wouldn't hold her for six consecutive days of heavy going.
  6. Perce wins - t'is definitely Paul!
  7. Well, I'm only really going through those that happily told everybody who they were on the previous forum...don't want to go giving away identities and getting myself sacked for breach of the DPA!
  8. At close of play on Tuesday the TC leaderboard had a new leader....go Carles! Trialero is on 84 marks Diggler is on 85 marks Baldilocks is on 121 marks Gasserboy is on 122 marks Young Girl Sunt is on 129 marks Gizza5 is on 143 marks Ishy is on 149 marks Moulder75 is on 164 marks Timp is on 167 marks Bucki3 is on 190 marks Boofont is on 241 marks Kinell is on 250 marks Jordan80 is on 266 marks Plenty well-matched riders out there - makes for interesting reading! Have added Katy in seeing as everybody knows who she is anyway - I'm not giving away any state secrets! No idea who Ronald MacDonald might be....well, have my suspicions, but haven't included him in case I've got it wrong and offend someone!
  9. Away you go and pack your bags - stop whiling away your time on the web.
  10. Says the man who was too bloody lazy to even GET here...!!!
  11. I ain't updating TWO sites with everything - check the SSDT site! Cloudy, but dry and mild....perfect for riding, and not too bad for spectating either!
  12. Nowt to do with me! It's all Fergus The Technical Genius here in the office!
  13. The results that you see on the live feed are the results as they are keyed on the system. The live feed refreshes every ten minutes, and whatever exists on the system at that point is transmitted to you at home. I don't think we ever get an observers book through that's perfect - there's always duplicate / missing numbers that need to be analysed once the scores in the book have been keyed if we're going to be sure that everybody that went through the section has got the right score. Each book takes about ten minutes to key and at least fifteen to analyse, so that's why scores will sometimes change between refreshes online - we're going through and double-checking everything. And before anybody starts having a go at observers for making errors, it's not their fault at all - all it takes is for a rider to have a mucky number plate (very easy in this weather!), fly through the section or for a spectator to distract the observer at a crucial moment and that's it. However, I'm guessing that what you're talking about relates to the fact that two sections were scrubbed from Monday. The Clerk of the Course took the decision to scrub two dangerous sections on Monday and as a result of that all scores from the section were wiped. Half the field had gone through the sections whilst the other half got to skip them - to make things as fair as possible, all riders who went through the sections were given an extra ten minutes on time to compensate for the fact that they had to take the time to ride the sections whereas other riders didn't. That means that between Monday's results and Tuesday's online feed, some riders who'd ridden these sections had marks knocked off their score. Hope that explains things a bit better! It's important to remember that the live feed is exactly that - you're seeing what's keyed into the system, and with just short of 50.000 keystrokes a day, there's always going to be some errors to be corrected as the day goes by. Can I go to the bar now?
  14. Nope - she's got a knee injury that's meant she's had to withdraw just before the trial. Shame for everyone - after her performance last year I think a lot of folk were keen to see who she could beat this time round!
  15. Will explain all once results out - no time just now!
  16. It's when they come up with a tray of drinks. We knock off 10 marks per glass.
  17. Just to put the rumour mill to rest, only two sections were scrubbed! Jarvis had cleaned one and fived the other - and the section he fived only had about ten riders who had anything less than a 5 on there. You may recommence speculation now!
  18. Seeing as they've all told you who they are, I don't see the problem in giving you a wee update on our TC squad every so often! As at close of play on Monday, relatively quiet (on TC anyway!) Diggler is storming ahead, and there's a few wee competitions going on elsewhere! Diggler is 51st with 43 marks dropped Trialero13 is 108th with 63 marks dropped Baldilocks is 154th with 74 marks dropped Gizza5 is 164th with 76 marks dropped Gasserboy is 166th with 76 marks dropped Ishy is 175th with 80 marks dropped Bucki3 is 193rd with 88 marks dropped Moulder75 is 210th with 93 marks dropped Timp is 215th with 94 marks dropped Kinell is 244th with 115 marks dropped Boo is 249th with 120 marks dropped Jordan80 is 255th with 128 marks dropped Think Ishy and K must be missing Perce. All credit to Gasserboy, who's beating some of the more experienced riders on his first time out....and methinks Gizza's been practising more than he's letting on!!!
  19. Be advised the main A82 trunk road will be closed at 10pm tonight between Tarbet & Ardlui (Loch Lomond). The road will not reopen until 0600 on Saturday morning. The main diversion route is via Inveraray on the A83 trunk road. There will be no closure on Saturday or Sunday night, but from Monday until Friday next week the road will be closed at 2200 and will reopen at 0600 the following day between Tarbet & Ardlui (Loch Lomond). For more info visit www.trafficscotland.org.
  20. That's us up to seven places vacant...! By the way, an updated riding list is on the SSDT website.
