Hi, Brake bleeding has been covered hundreds of times on here, Do a search and you will find some good info.
Good luck, Hope you sort it

Try Allens trials spares for a second hand one or ebay. Don't get a universal one it will end in tears as it won't fit and you will muller your swingarm if you try and make it!
-
Just the usual bits to look for on a used trials bike, The earlier TXT's are very reliable and built well. You could have a problem with parts as a lot of parts are now obsolete and now Gas Gas are dead and gone parts could be even more tricky.
-
The Keihin carb is notorious for pi55ing out of the breathers even when working and set up right.
If it flows out when the bike is just standing then you have a float of valve problem.
Do some searching on here and you will find all the info you need and then some.

Normally there are the tell tale signs where the screws were originally mounted on the back plate so you can line it up to where it was before.
I presume because of the wire position in relation to the case you couldn't get the thing 1/3 rd out of rotation?
if in doubt try it in as many different positions as you can and see if it will start and run.

He will need a very special Beta made for him. He will have a shock after riding GG for so many years.
-
Send the stator of to Bradford ignitions to test, Don't trust a multimeter as stators are voodoo magic.
-
Just put the cash to another bike instead, An aftermarket pair of clamps will not make it ride any better plus you will have to shell out another £70 for fat bars too as the 7/8 bars will not fit modern tripples.
That's half of what your 04 bike is worth in good condition.
If you have the money to blow and it makes you happy, good on you, go for it!
-
Chuck some decent stickers on it!!! They are hideous just like the J Gas.
If it rides like a Gasser and they are the same weight in real life, not like the other BS figures from Beta and Mont, Then they will have a good seller as long as they are the same price as the other mainstream bikes.
A racing with a Keihin and a good rear shock would be nice.
It could be a jotagas MK2 but if it works this time then great!!
It ticks the boxes for me so far anyway.
-
A friend in the club got stung around 70 for swing arm bearings and spacers for a Evo 80!
Seems like the usual needed parts like bearings and mudguards etc have a huge premium on the Beta's.
-
I saw that the other day, NOT rev 3, Earlier synt or zero as the others have said.
-
Billy was spot on as expected, The open connection is the fast map.
On the 300 Factory it makes no difference to bottom end but on the soft map it smooths some of the mid to top hit out of it.
1st bike I can tell proper difference between maps.
They should re name the button "should have brought a 250 mode".
-
As Crazy said, They are to adjust the Squish. Do a search and you will find more info on it or just fit the 0.8mm to be safe.
-
Check again that the carb slide is closing fully, Might be the cable pulled out of the carb top slightly.
-
I've ordered a handle bar mounted Apico switch the same as the Gasser ones but with out the sun and rain, Only a tenner as opposed to 35 quid for the Beta one (they are not going to go bust soon are they!).
I had a play on the bike on Saturday and it fells like it's in the advanced map, I haven't had time to trace the wires out yet as the loom has been cut somewhere. I have the wiring diagram so I'll dive in and fit it when I get 5.
It feels retarded and smooth off the very bottom but really gets up and goes low mid right to top.
I need to give it some proper testing and tweaking to see if I'm going to stay on a Beta but all seems good so far.
-
We can sort out all the paperwork so he can ride such as ACU forms etc on the day.
-
Waltham chase do have a E Class with special flags for their route too. We specially cater for them and have done for the last 4 years, We have a number of ossets in our series, and it's always safe and dead easy for them.
Our club is the only one in the south that I know of with specific flags for the electric route, Small beginners on little wheel petrol bikes can join in on the E route too.
-
Sometimes just a couple of mins, Do some searching on here and check out the system to see if it has a problem somewhere, Basic stuff to check. Good Luck.
-
Excellent, Thanks guys, I need closed connection for the fast map then. I'll find the wire from the cdi and earth it in that case.
I can't see the point in fitting a switch as I've heard the 2 maps on the evo are only different at higher revs unless the Factory model is programmed different to the stock bikes.
I've just got to ride this thing now and see If I want to keep it or go to a Factory Sherco!
-
is this company allowed to be mentioned?

I have an evo with a missing map switch, probably removed by a rock as they are in a stupid place on the later bikes!
I need to know what map is open circuit and what map is grounded circuit so I can check if I need to ground the wire as I'm not planning to fit another switch at the moment, I just need to make sure its in fast map permanent.
I know with the Gassers it's grounded circuit for the fast map as I have removed a few of them over the years.
If someone know's it would be cool and save me fiddling about with wires and riding it to try to tell the difference or messing about with a multimeter on a similar bike.
-
I don't think we will see Raga on a Scorpa as It would interfere with Sherco.
Honda would be out of the question unless they pay him a huge amount of money to retire and take the pressure of Toni!!!
TRS & Vertigo are too new and they wouldn't be able to match what a Factory the size of Beta would offer him.
Raga is on fire at the moment, He will be hot property for next year especially if he keeps up his run of wins.
It's good to see him doing well after the GG problems.
-
On some gas gas and sherco's it can be done but you have to alter the holding pin postition. On the early gas gas it is a threaded bolt so a drill and re tap then change the brake hose.
The older style calipers are still available and they work just as good or rebuild your existing one.
-
I haven't found a trials bike yet that is easy to get into neutral with your foot while running. I Usually do it by hand or just switch the bike off in gear.
If you can find neutral easy you will be sure to find it while your halfway up a hill too!!!
-
Lowbrow, Is spot on, The needle jet is supposed to go in from the bottom.
Search for an exploded diagram for the carb and you will see what way round everything goes.
