  1. Many thanks to all who have responded to my post. Your post is particularly interesting Dan, as I have had the same experience with the smaller pilot jet and I am about to change it back to standard. I will try the needle position alteration at the same time. I have also altered the gearing to make second more useable, in my case by going from a 42t rear sprocket to 44t. I thought that going from 10t to 9t on the countershaft might be too big a change. I would like to know your experience with your gearing alteration.
  2. I have recently taken delivery of a 2013 Beta 300 factory, and in almost every respect it is a superb machine. However, the throttle response from low rpm feels a little rough, as if the pilot jet mixture is over rich. Tweaking the pilot jet screw has had only minimal effect. Has anybody else experienced this issue, and possibly tried a smaller pilot jet, or found a different solution?
  3. It is worth watching this U-tube of last year's Mitchell trial. At about 7 minutes 13 seconds into the video, a helpful foot can be seen to be placed, apparently to stop a front wheel from slipping.......
  4. I have a pair of Beta trials pants, 2011 version I think, (refer to attached photograph) having the light blue colour rather than the later bark blue, and I am attempting to find a matching top. Is anybody aware of where I might locate such an item (preferably in XL size)? The local Beta agents (Australia) have not been able to assist as the top is now out of production. Second hand, in good condition, would be acceptable, although new would be preferable.
