  1. Just been out for a quick pootle about in my woods...very lucky in the that respect. Been practicing very slow/stopping/start tight turns and when (it's never 'if' with me ) we go off balance, its always the inside foot that goes down. I've even tried to force myself to over balance on outside foot but my head just can't do it. ....I know the bike wants to fall 'into' the inside due to the physics, but then I should be allowing for this with my balance, but, I never over balance to the outside.
  2. not a bad choice as it happens. We used to do the green lanes, find some silly hill climbs etc around Kent. One evening during a very muddy spell one of the guys Pumpkins had blown up or something had broken as usual and he took his Climber....well it turns out he was waiting around most of time for the rest of the guys to catch up.
  3. thinking that thru...I must of been around 13 when that frame was plated so that would be 1976...
  4. I've seen a Nickel plated Sherpa before, a long time ago at a trial in Cliffe Marshes In Kent....mid to late 70's. I remember the particular bike as my friend's father had it done as a favour at a platers down in Dover. Part of a job lot for Marconi's (or Elliotts Aviation as it was?).The guy wanted the frame chromed but the platers talked him out of it saying this could make the frame brittle and suggested Nickel as being better engineering solution. hmm....I can still smell the platers and the picture the sight of hundreds of ping pong balls floating on top of the tanks....I think we used to go to tarmac hill climb down that way, cars mainly but a few bikes too. ...I'm amazed I remember all that, but I'm shallow and always liked shiny bright things....this is one of my gixers's

  6. This came with my own Speedy and I've been meaning to post it for some time, the last two pages make for good in the field findings. From reading thru it appears it must of originated from a US dealer due to the mention of Watkins Glen world round. 7. Great tip, tried it this afternoon!....along the lines 0f "look where you are going, not where you are".
  8. Had mine years now and still holding up fine. As I've found with all Wulfsport gear great quality, cheap but certainly not nasty. I'd buy another pair tomorrow if these went missing
  9. Yup I have one of their SWM race tops....very good quality indeed.
  10. http://www.rtmotoshop.com/en/maglia-swm.html Met a guy today at a trial with a retro Fantic jersey.....noted the label on the jersey and hey presto they do Speedy tops too!
  11. ...following on from the listening to my Speedy sound track, from memory the front box is the one that need repacking....this is a case of cutting the box open? .....would anyone have a pics on the internals of the front box,
  12. in this video it sounds like the exhaust manifold is blowing but I can't see any spooge or feel any gas escaping....sounds a lot meatier in the flesh not as tinny as the phone recorded it.
