  2. vivaro and traffic are virtually the same, not sure about nissan, but good transport for trials bikes, could get three in back of my old vivaro easy BUT couldn't get my Tiger 900 in, no way without removing the screen and front fairing etc. obviously a high roof version would solve that probably take sports bikes without fuss in std roof version
  3. Could be an urban myth but I remember folk telling me that British bikes gearlevers were on the right so when you stopped in traffic you would put your left foot down and leave your right foot on the footrest ready to engage gear. On this basis the bike would lean to the left making it slightly safer being those extra few inches away from any traffic passing close to you as you waited in the "gutter", this applying to GB as we drive on the left. It was considered your foot was safer on the footrest than on the road ready to be run over The same rule applied to all countries who drive on the right, where their manufacturers did exactly the opposite and put the lever on the left. As more sales were ultimately going through Europe and the America's (driving on right) the Japanese and Continental manufacturers made their bikes opposite to ours, and of course they are all down that side now, even British made bikes. At least the end result was uniformity. ( I remember riding a trial on a Sunday with the gears one down and four up on the left and then going to work on my Matchless on Monday morning with one up and three down on the right) anyone got a better explanation .................
  4. colmore, wallace, victory, carter, lomax all fit the bill around then
  5. There are a number of various thicknesses of lining that you could have rebonded onto your old shoes, which would solve your problem. Also there are particular linings better suited trials bikes. pm me if you need further help
  6. This company used to do plans, but not sure if they still do They do show a three bike version but the dimensions might give you a start along with design ideas. Chances are that you could simply add another run for a fourth bike as trials bikes would be a lot slimmer than those shown. http://www.indespension.co.uk/b2c/img/lite...%20Lo%20res.pdf

  11. dvd might help, but you'll get 5 hours genuine on the bike training covering all types of sections for the same money, with low pupil/trainer ratio. better be reasonably fit as they work you hard but you will be better for it

  14. Hi Luka Welcome to the world of trials, I'm sure you'll enjoy it Interesting to see a "newbie" having thought through an issue which has caused problems on numerous makes and models of trials bikes over the last few decades! Well done on that with an excellent description and photos to back up your words. Your modification wouldn't fix all problems surrounding the various kickstarts, as some catch on footrests and others on rear brake levers etc. but your idea may help in some cases I'll keep an eye out for your future ideas Racey
