  1. Sorry I need help again, I have just bought a talon rear sprocket & I am confused as how it should be fitted. I know that sounds daft but I believe the one I have taken off to have been fitted wrong. when looking at the sprocket the bolt holes have a flat side & the other side has a recess. Are the recess for the bolt head to sit flush in or are they to fit on the raised contact points on the wheel hub its a 41tooth talon radialite & the recess are not the type that are angled & look if they should take a wedge shaped bolt head. need a quick answer if possible.please

    Flat Spot

I had the same flat spot, cleaned my carb for the first time as above. Pilot jet was blocked & a little dirt in the main jet. the bike is running great now. Thanks to all for the info above, worked a treat for me.
  3. Talon Sprockets are now on order along with a new Renthal R1 chain, should be fitted by end of week. Red wheel rims protectors fitted & brakes pads are all changed. All rear wheel bearings & inner spacer replaced & in good order after few hours riding.
  4. I am going to fit a lanyard kill switch & have the engine stop/kill switch. The lanyard is for when I am going one way & the bike is going the other. The engine stop is for them calm controlled stops that I sometime like to make.
  5. Sorry its a 2T & 250 cc, so 11 front & 41 rear it is then. thanks for the help chaps.
  6. Well I have to admit he sold the bike & I am the new owner. I am going to continue with the good work Luke did on the bike. The wheel bearing issue returned with near carbon copy damage to the inner spacer. we have noticed that the bearing on the right had side can be pushed in by hand so this is going to be placed in with a little lock tight & monitored closely. I am changing all of the brake pads & the calipers are being colour coded to the red, black & carbon theme. The chain tensioner on the bike was not in good condition so I have taken the opportunity to change this to a red anodized one. Near future plans are for the rear sprocket to replaced with a red anodized one ( full set & chain all at once) & then new plastics & new red anodized bits for the clutch & brake reservoir covers & adjusters. I few touch ups here & there & the bike will be finished for now.
  7. Hi All New starter with second hand bike! I am planning on changing my Rear sprocket to a red one to follow on with the colour of my bike. I do not have my rear wheel at the moment so I can not count the teeth. What is the standard set up for the amount of teeth on the front & rear sprockets please ( how many on each sprocket) & what would be the benefit to change the teeth pattern?
  8. Well chaps I got myself a Beta Evo 250cc, Looking forward to getting out on it.
  9. Hi, I am hoping to be starting trials riding again at 44 years old. I hope it not to late. As a kid I used to have a Bultaco 250, it was way to heavy for me. I have been way from bike riding for so long even though I do have a 450cc quad that I play on. I am on the look out for a trials bike at the moment but I may have to sell the quad first. Its looks like I have some reading to do as I have no idea what bike I should be looking for these days. Any Ideas fellas? I am 5' 10 & 14 stone. so 250cc up over cheers
