  1. With Scott time fast approaching how about one or two anecdotes from Scotts gone by. A few tips to help achieve a finish may get one or two thinking; 1. Never ever get into a race with another rider - no one ever finished the Scott riding at 11 tenths (unless they were very good or very lucky) 2. Drink water, little and often around the course 3. Never follow what you think is a local attempting a short cut, even the best have missed sections 4. You use loads less energy by keeping your feet up 5. The sections are generally easier than they look - so don't panic 6. If it looks like deep water it probably is - if in doubt wait a second, follow another rider or find a way round
