    Ebay 199B

hi, could you explain what you mean? - under seat fabrication is not there - the pivot bracket isnt right - the plunger is original length thanks a lot
  2. 0.6 liters at overhaul, 0.5 liters at oil change, recommended is ELF HTX975 or Castrol A747
  3. I agree with you, the RTL's had a great developement/improvement from the 1985 model to the 1989. But, in my opinion, they missed to consider the driving position, footpegs are quite high and so is the centre of gravity. The TLM260 has a more modern set up but, as barfy sais, a really heavy flywheel. It's not only the exhaust (pipe and middle box) or carb that require improvement, I think the main work should be done on the crank/flywheel. I can only confirm the great difference between the standard bike I owned and the special one!
  4. Does the bike run hot as it looks like you have you got a extra vent on the side of your air box and have you got any heat shield between the middle box and carb to stop heat transfer Just picked up some exhaust bandage to put a couple of raps on the inside of my middle box as temps are sometimes quite high at timesand might trim the new shelter to allow more air flow The bike with the extra vent is not mine, it's the works Narita one! the extra vent is a bit a fairytale. take a look, it's a heart...people say it was a sign of Takumi to the girlfriend.. As for my bike it runs perfect, no problems with temperature, no heat shield needed but I have to admit that the performance of the bike is far ahead of my riding ability. So again, where are the special parts available?
  5. hi, there are 2 carbs with the bike, the standard one and a PWK... I know of only 1 more bike with the large middle box like mine, it is the narita special. this box requires a lot of work to fit it on the bike (shapening cilynder and head, shelter, a.s.o.). my engine revs much faster and easier, they told me the crank is also modified.. nevertheless, if there are after market kits, pls tell me... cheers
  6. hi, didn't know about a aftermarket big bore system/bigger carb, could you tell us, pls?!
  7. i.e. a standard frame with works engine&exhaust.. the bike performs quite different from the standard one I also owned RTL250s = in my opinion one of the prettiest bikes ever, if not the best one! an amazing piece with a lot of interesting parts, details and solutions. Sounds like a dream but is quite behind a standard TLM260R in the performance. This could be obvious, as far as there are 6 years developement between the two projects. TLM260R = the standard bike is a really good bike, high quality build, few problems with the ignition when temperature raises. compared to the contemporary contenders (Aprilia Climber, FANTIC 307, Beta Zero, a.s.o.) it is quite different in the performance, much easier to use and has a better over all quality.
  8. hi, here a pic of my TLM260R..

    Gilles Burgat's Swm

Hi, this is the bike, SWM? Aprilia? neither the one nor the other (Paioli forks and triple clamps, special fuel tank+cover, what else...?!) cheers
  10. What about this solution (here witha a other manufacturer rear wheel and right-hand gear -m 92 engine has only this possibility- and brake lever)? required is a little work with the wheel-spacers and the welding of a brake plate anchorage cheers
  11. Hi, this is the SWM 125 Alpaca frame nr. 1 [/img]
  12. Hi, Jumbo engine covers are difficult to find, 320 ones are quite common, couldn't be really difficult. meine adresse zisko62@virgilio.it cheers
  13. Hi, why not buy a spare casing?

    Back Box's

Hi, don't forget Danilo was one of the works riders until the end of the SWM trials history. He didn't like the power delivery of the big 350cc engine and pushed hard to have the 320 engine in the Jumbo frame, on this side the bike seems to be very standard, although rumors of the past told about a different steering angle of the works bikes. Danilo, as well as Bernie Schreiber, found that Girlings work very well on the SWM frames and always fitted those shocks on the bikes. Should have somewhere a picture of the inside of the end box, if you want I can send them to you Cheers Zisko

    Back Box's

hi, the bike was built with the specs he wanted, these are words of Danilo himself! by the way, the back box on the bike is simply one of a Garelli 320 and the "inside" could be quite the same to a Jumbo 350 silencer, it should expell the gasses better than the twin end silencer with a bit more noise cheers
