  1. You were thinking about respaying the frame, how about Factree Pink!! That would be sooooooo cooooooool!
  2. Moooooorrrrrniiiigggggggg! Do the come in pink to match our t-shirts???????
  3. Bikespace...... 1) Ha ha, you're right, forgot about that 2) Cheeky git, I'm only 32, but I know what you mean! 3) I wouldn't know
  4. Only really added a flywheel weight, which to be fair did make a difference. I think that problem is that I don't have as much time to ride these days and therefore not the opportunity to try too many mods or go practising. I want a bike that works week in week out and doesn't get away from you if you're feeling a bit rusty. I bought the bike from Steve Colley, and whilst it was virtually unused and immaculate it had been set up for him so was firey to say the least. Good fun actually if you're not trying to ride between marker flags! Just noticed a test on a 250 in the latest issue of YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE so need to give that a read. Heard to many negative comments about 280's, that they are neither as torquey as the 300 or forgiving as the 250. But that was the previous versions. Is this a myth and would a 280 with flywheel weight be a good compromise???
  5. Have had two 250 pro's and have had a 300 pro for the last while. Don't feel like I've ever totally got comfy with it and considering going back to a 250 which I seem to remember feeling more happy on. A lot of people who get 300's seem to spend a load of time taming them down as I have. Any advice or thoughts?? Riding level is brilliant! (closer to Centre Clubman/Low expert )
  6. Bikespace is spot on. Our webmaster must have had a beer prior to his first update! Anyway the dates as per the website are correct, and if you're on Facebook get joined up for the latest news and updates

    Cooling

During the Manx Two Day last weekend on two occasions I experienced fluid spurting out of the overflow pipe which exits just above the exhaust, right by your knee when sitting down. I was wondering whether this could just be excess being pushed out of the system as on both occasions the engine was being worked quite hard. I had topped up the rad prior to the event so thought maybe this could be the problem. There were no other problems and when the engine had cooled off a bit everything was fine.
  8. Results now posted to the front page. Enjoy
  9. There are quite a few places to pick up details about the trial. If you are coming on the ferry then the Welcome Centre in the sea terminal has plenty of programmes and maps to help you get about. The programme contains recommended spectator viewing points and a full entry list. For more detail and a full route come along to the start at the grandstand where programmes and route information will be available from just outside the scruitneering area. Don't have anything that is emailable at the moment unfortunately. I'm riding at number 140, say hi if you see me.
  10. Good man, thats what we like, commitment! The confirmation cards short be out shortly, so I would say it's pretty safe to book everything you need.
  11. As of yesterday, the solo entries for this years event are full. That means 275 of you lucky people will be riding the Trial this year! Sidecar entries are still open until 18th April. Check the website for other info - www.manx2day.com
  12. Steveo, Knighter was British Expert Trials Champion before he moved to enduro's, and I know that he can hold his own with whoever regardless of the bike he is on. I don't think that he would have let Browny pull out such a lead if he saw him as a serious contender for the overall win. He knew he was going to pull off after an hour. The only thing that might have slowed knighter down if they were both on trials bikes is the fact the Browny is a little fella, and therefore has less meat to carry around that Squarefoot who is about 6'4 and must be 15 stone (95kg) or thereabouts. Big lad! Unfortunately at his last attempt at the scott trial knighter murdered his bike but was a serious threat for fastest time, so maybe you have a point about finesse
  13. I wanted a vito originally, then changed my mind to a VW, then finally went back to my insticts and got a vito dualliner. 2 seats in front, 3 behind, plenty of room for one bike behind with all seats in place, could probably fit two at a squeeze with a bit of jigging about, and maybe a front wheel out. Mine is an '02 with 80k and so far so good. Really comfy to drive, like people always say, just like a car. And it fits in car parks etc and has the added family carrying capacity I wanted. Well happy! Body work has a few minor issues (Few rust spots) but that is the only fault and can be sorted.
  14. I looked long and hard for a dual liner and a combination of there not being many around and not having loads of dosh to spend on it meant that I got the 110, don't get me wrong though, I only really compromised on the colour - its white! I am going to use it as a stepping stone though and try to get up to the ideal which is still one of the latests Vee Dubs, dual liner. Let me know if you hear of a good one second hand
  15. I didn't end up getting a VW, went for a Vito in the end and it is brilliant. It is a 110cdi Dualliner, so has factory fitted rear windows and seats. My daughter now refuses to travel in the car! As regards the bike, I thought that I would have to take out one of the rear seats to fit it in but that is far from the case. Loads of room for one bike and a large family if needs be, and in terms of economy it is pretty good. The bike goes in diagonally so would be pushed to get two in with all the seats in but with a bit of jigging around could probably happen. Had the windows tinted and looking for some wheels, pimping my van!!!!
  16. Yes - it's too hard for you!!

    Lime Green Beta

    Fame at last Daymo!
  19. Just reminded me that I'm doing the right thing not buying the paper each week - cretins!
  20. I would say go for it. That is how I learned to hop the front and back as well i.e. engine dead. Start by getting your balance, then when you can do that start working the suspension front and then at the back. Once you have practised loads you should be able to hop around in a circle and forwards, backwards etc. I know these aren't exactly the current rules but it's fun to try and will impress you mates! And it keeps you fit and gets strength into your arms and legs that only can be done by being on the bike. Set your self targets for how long you can balanace there, get into a position and lift a leg to the side or try and take a hand off the bars. There is loads you can do and all of it will help you with feeling familiar on the bike.
  21. Bou is about 5'5 or 5'6, and Laia must be about 5'9, so Pedrosa is extra small!!!!!!! I always imagined I would look really cool riding a MotoGP bike (in my own head of course ), but I have to say that now I imagine it would be incredibly uncomfortable and they definately aren't designed for a 6'1, 15 stone frame!!!
  22. I always put 400cc in mine - 06 300. Allowing for what doesn't come out you should be right.
  23. They have added other photos which means those links won't take yu to the right pics. If you use them and then click to the end of library you should see them.
  24. Look who got a ride on the Moto GP bikes following thelast GP at Valencia. And I know people have said how small Dani Pedrosa is but he really is tiny! http://www.crash.net/picture_view~cid~6~ca...ing~~pid~93.htm http://www.crash.net/picture_view~cid~6~ca...ing~~pid~94.htm http://www.crash.net/picture_view~cid~6~ca...ing~~pid~95.htm Hope these work but if not copy and paste top your browser.
  25. Gaz - careful now, I think you should have added, "at the moment" to the end of your post
