  1. Yep its a 250 Got the bike not long before the start of the trials season over here and needed it to ride so its a work in progress and have added bits as i go and the footrest hangers are a stop gap (but a lot better than originals) till i come to strip the bike down and alter the frame for welded extensions and get it powder coated Other bits already fitted after the photo are, gold chain guard,ty type gear lever, mikuni tm24 carb and new white front and rear guards ordered plus shockers and still thinking about headstock. Got the TLM260 up and running now so when i get all the bits together for the TLR250 i might finish her off instead of waiting till the middle of October when the season finishes
  2. This is mine and rides quite well but will finish it off so its better
  3. Look very nice as is, very tempted to order a set as have some other bits ordered and could all be shipped together
  4. Got it from Sammy Millers about 4 months ago but they might have had it for sometime before that Never thought off that, told if you alter the front you need to lengthen the swing arm on the 250's or the front becomes to light so just wanted a idea as to how much the yokes altered the wheel base so if it was done with the rear wheel already fitted then you would get the difference between the standard yokes and the modded ones Fitted footrest lowering kit to mine as a stop gap till i strip the bike down and with the wider pegs and lower it rides and handles a lot better
  5. Fitted a Wes to my 250 and been happy with it in looks and build On the yokes could you measure the distance between the front and rear axles with the standard yoke fitted and then with the new ones fitted Thanks mike
  6. you will have to let my know what you think of them as can not decide what do do myself, chop the frame or get a set to fit to mine but they are not cheap and it would be a lot less just to chop the frame as mine will get stripped down come the Ausie summer to be powder coated
  7. Thats what happens, buy a old bike and it just snowballs from there once you start its a job to stop and there's always something else you think you could do. Look forward to seeing the finished bike as it will look stunning
  8. \a good quality semi at 50/1 is all you need
  9. 140 riders ,clubs would be happy to see healthy numbers turning up for events
  10. From the album: TLM 260rf

    1990 Honda TLM 260rf
  11. here are photos of the finished TLM260 and my other 2 bikes
  12. Thanks 0.6 liters it is then Photos of the bike should be up on friday
  13. Hi all Does anyone have the correct amount of oil required for the clutch/gearbox for the TLM260r as told it was 600mils but when i drained it 900 mil + came out as this is about the last job to do before its ready to fire up after refurbish and photo's will follow soon. Thanks Mike
  14. So again, where are the special parts available? Thats the million dollar question, would be helpfull if we made a list of places that still have spares My bike had a new honda piston fitted and has not done much work since so not sure how long they last There are a few web sites in Japan that have spares but i am not sure how you go about buying them, think you have to use a 2nd party from Japan to do the buying for you Hope to have the shelter fitted and forks back in tomorrow but still waiting for the wheel bearings to arrive in the post before i can get the wheels back in
  15. Does the bike run hot as it looks like you have you got a extra vent on the side of your air box and have you got any heat shield between the middle box and carb to stop heat transferJust picked up some exhaust bandage to put a couple of raps on the inside of my middle box as temps are sometimes quite high at timesand might trim the new shelter to allow more air flow
  16. Yours has the big bore pipe and box fitted , you need to see what carb is fitted to your bike
  17. its to give more power at low revs and allow the bike to rev out more than the standard bike as per the factory bikes but causes a lot of heat thats why the cdi is moved forward to keep cool and extra vents cut into the tank shelter and a flatside carb to help smooth running as what is fitted to most modern trials bikes nowMike
  18. 4 stroke somehow it changed its self into a 2 banger from the TLR250 i ride, will be nice to see the difference between the 2 when i get it finished as i ride the TLR better than i used to ride the Beta rev3 250 so can not wait to get this 2 banger up and running The bike was imported from Japan 15 years ago and used for 2 years and put in the shed for 13 years before i bought it Carb is flatside and when i kicked it over started 2 kick after been in transit for 3 weeks to get to me and the motor runs sweet but the plastics are shot and shock rubber was just dust (new rubber and service done now) Still having problems getting the plastics but the rest is about sorted
