  1. Ian, Yes as far as the front brake goes it sounds like your worrying about nothing. The discs on most trials bikes are mounted with free play this is normal although I don't know why! I have just fitted a brand new AJP caliper and lever to my montesa and that has a similar amount of play to yours. The short answer is stop looking and worrying and get out and ride you'll love it!!!
  2. Took a long time to find but this is the link i mentioned - http://www.youtube.c...&v=1EbXacjIV78#!
  3. Not new but a 2007 model that looks new, never been used in a trial and not even got the scatches you would expect after minimal use. Pick it up on saturday and will be out on it sunday, can't wait!!
  4. bought a txt 280 pro today just so i could post something in this topic. hope it was worth it!!!
  5. Try Stevenstrials.com he has loads of spares for these bikes and if he hasn't got it he will probably know who has!
  6. Why is every section one of my "5" a day?

  7. I always loved the TY but this something special. Cracking build, I think I NEED one!!!
  8. looks like a good way to destroy some great ground. I'd like to see them pick a line and stick to it rather than just go where they're thrown. Give me trials every time!!!
  9. Had similair problem with my 314R , have you tried adjusting the fuel screw out a bit. I set mine up as per the manual and it would'nt tick over. Found a link on this site somewhere with a video of a Gas Gas dealer from the states stripping the carb (dellorto) Followed his directions and its runs perfectly.
  10. Just search bearing suppliers online and it will give you plenty of companies that can supply the bearings next day from stock, you will need to give them inside diameter, outside diameter and width. You normally get a choice of quality with prices to reflect. The bush inserts can easily be made by local engineering companies, often pays to get a few sets made up at once though.
  11. I have just returned to the sport after a short 25 year break!! Glad modern bikes are lighter and more powerful as I am about five stone heavier now than when I last competed, I also have more titanium in my right hip than you get on a factory replica. I have spent the winter months completely rebuilding a montesa 314 and it should be ready to use very soon. Looking to join a local club soon and get down to some serious practice.
