  1. i found it best to swap the complete front end..wheel, brakes and all. i was lucky, i had a Synt that i parted out...lots of great parts swap out with the air cooled bikes.
  2. i ride twinshockers as well. a fellow rider gave me the idea of a slow twist on my modern bike to help slow me down.. well. i tried it, and it was a mess, most dangerous thing i ever did..when i need zap, i need it right now, not at the bottom of my wrist. i removed it... and installed fast twisters on all my trialers...best move i ever did. learn on what you have, the less wrist movement the better.. dont step back...step up.. as you learn and progress, youll like the fast action.. i learned better throttle control, and that slowed my cornering down.. i went back to no stop for the most part, at the level i ride, it works better for me, at 50, i doubt ill hop and stop and scale 20 ft splats.
  3. my TR34 with forks and rear shock off a Synt.
  4. not sure if the trees will work, forks are pretty much the same, Beta Synt, and Zero front ends will bolt right on..if your going that far...use the rear shock as well, the TR34 shock was a turd.
  5. Zippy? im running the advance line right behind Ron, and down...they dont get the big splats,,,but still just a as nasty if you make a bad choice...you could be a life member of the cactus ass club pretty fast.
  6. this little bit of heaven, is a private owned ranch..315 acres of rocks..i gunsmith for the owner, he invited our club to hold an event..until me..a motorycle has never seen that ground.. now weve got some sweet sections, and a nice loop set in...all thats left is tape and markers... this picture is about the top of the Pro/ expert line..they will come down around that rock.. rattle snake was spotted...so its name is the rattle snake ridge. nasty up hill, lots of rollers. cactus. and loose dirt...new swear words to be added later.. thanks for fixing , my neck was getting kinky
  7. its people like this that give sellers a bad name, iv been selling on Ebay since 1996. and have learned some hards lessons.. i too have been burned on bike parts, and a bike or 2.. iv had a buyer over seas, say he never got an item i sold him, i showed proof that it was mailed, Ebay gave him his money back..so i was out the item, and the money.. 3 weeks later, i see the item i sold, being sold by him on Ebay. i contacted ebay...and they said..i had no proof it as the item i sent...he even used my pics...{eyeroll} all you can do, is add them to your blocked list, so you cant bid on the stuff they have and they cant bid on yours. i no longer offer over seas shipping on larger items..more hassle then its worth. at least you got your money back, so other then the hassle, frustration and time, your not out anything looking at his feedback, he is a rip off artist.. selling junk..
  8. working at a new venue last weekend..some work on the pro/exp lines.. my Brother Roy, and Wy rider Ron Anderson size up some Rattle snake laced rocks...we will bring them down...or maybe up...hmmm it will test some feet up skills for sure...Trial up..Nonami Ranch May 5th..La Porte Co..and the RMTA.
  9. wish i could have made the trip, short on cash for the fuel, and have a pile of guns that need to be done by Weds, i did ride Sunday at the Nonami ranch..on the TLR.. im working on a possible reliabilty vintage trial for next year...15 sections a day, 3 loops, no splits.. 2 day event. heres some of the rules were working on... rider and motorycle are on the line...you can only fix on the bike, with what can be carried in a back pack, tube, and basic tools, if your bike stops, breaks ect, and you cant fix it with whats on your person...your done. bikes will be stored in a paddock in the pits together..all classes run the same lines...scores will be different for sure.. still working on it..hope to have the basic details for imput by Turkey Rock.. doubt you or anyone will have single point days at Turkey Rock this year lol. sounds like you had a great time.
  10. i found the same issue./ the 2010 and up evo 4T has a Mikuni CV carb
  11. if you paid and didnt get your item. Ebay will refund your money. if you payed via paypal, you can also file a claim. if you didnt pay, then your pretty much screwed. too bad, i could use that rear fender...but wont deal with a scammer.
  12. i found after running the bike upside down...the hot start is needed...
  13. i personally havnt used them...when you see wolfy at the next event..i think he has them on his TY175.. im not going to make NM this weekend, have some rifles that have to be done by next week, and really cant afford the fuel this month.
  14. nice one to have when looking up part numbers Rev3%20270-250-200%202001.pdf
  15. might be helpful Beta__BETA%20REV3-2t%20Trial%20service%20manual.pdf
  16. taken right from the Beta shop manual for Rev3 right .........370cc left..............350cc
  17. is it for the mikuni CV? i dont have any experiance with Rev 4ts so i dont know what carb they use,
  18. so the air screw is in a bad spot. bottom side of the carb. Evo 4Ts use a CV carb. any ideas on a remote adjustment? doesnt any one make a nice one? with a T pipe, even a angle screw driver is a bear to use.
  19. sounds like a regulator issue..common with the model.
  20. heres the side covers left and right from a 78 IT250.. i dont have a TY 250 at this time, so i cant check to see if they would bolt up. i know those who have done so with the 175 and it cleans up the cases nicely, if you run without the oil injection, this would really thin the bike up.. what do you think?
  21. wonder if the left side cover off a IT 250 would work on the TY 250...then you could unbolt the sproket cover..polish it up just a purty.. i know the IT175 covers work on the TY 175. anyone try this ?
  22. 350cc in the spring side, 370cc in the other...much easier.
