  1. F.Y.I. The current leader of the JR Championship is Michael Brown aboard a 250cc Top Trial Team BETA... Ps.. Top Trial Team won the JR Championship with James Dabill Last Year.. Go Top Trial Team and Beta...!!!!!!!!!
  2. I would like to say thanks to Alexz... He practiced some near My son .. he also was a very pleasent and very talented young man.. He has inspired my Son Ron III unbelievably.. We have a long way to go to be able to compete with the euro boys.. but we have not been challenged by sections of this TECHNICAL design.. so yes the setup is the main focus.. Ronnie Is working hard and I beleive he will make huge strides the rest of the season .. He now knows what he needs to work on and WILL .. So to all the naysayers....Keyboard Riders... I challenge you to come out and ride I would be happy to catch you where Ron /Pat/ Cody.... or hell practically any of the new youth riders could whip your a$$.. So get your fat a$$ of the desk chair.. go out and help train our kids instead of bashing ( USA) Riders on the computer .. . Oh Yeah if you even have a clue how to start your bikes.. Bring It..

  4. Lane , F.Y.I. Ron Commo III Rode the Expert Class on a 125 in the first four rounds .. he is a bit over his head but put some brilliant rides in on some very big sections. His results Not what he was hoping for .. But He did learn alot about his 125 and was he hindered by the power of a 125 ? yep... But He still attacked every section Full Bore. I am an advocate of a 125 expert class to prepare our kids , and to build there technique..!! Your proposal was shot down because It had too many holes. what ifs, etc...Changing the format is not necessary !!! adding the class would be cool !! For Now we are happy to be shooting the 125 up some 8' walls like arizona had and the consistency and results are on the way soon..
  5. After spaeking to the factory .. the issue with magnesium is you are not supposed to use antifreeze with any water whatso ever .. we are now using and as a result distributing ELF Organic Coolant..

you will see us there ...one more year.. I will say dave gave my son some anger (drive if you will ) but its still stupid.. like I said give the kids coming up credit they are earning it .. I think the future for america has some real shining stars . pat is the best right now and he works really hard at it , I commend him on his ability, it has come from hard work.. I would really like him to be on a 125 but I dont know anything.................lol

yeah but Your federation( more about the eu championships) (Dave willoghby)has stated before we can come ride but they do not want americans or any non europeans...to recieve points or recognition.. because we are not european, and would we want europeans coming and winning in the USA .I told him yes , sure Bring it on!! I guess politics is more important to them than growing the sport.. I truly believe that discrimination like this hurts the dreams of kids in the usa . who really want to compete in the eu championships.. For a kid to go there and be 1,2,or3 and to be pushed aside is very detrimental.. Damn . Recognise these kids for there ability not where there passport says there from .. oooooh Do not get me started..!!

    Exhaust

gents.if your tire is rubbing then you have most likely bent the subframe holding it.. typically the little rubber mount also lets you know you have bent the subframe.. cheap and easy to replace....

    06 Beta 125 Wiring

Dear Currently Lost ??? Ok the beta has simplest wiring on the Planet.. If you remove all wires up through Cover on tank.. At the point you pull the plugs apart (3) two yellow... One male one female .. plug them together .. the third wire is a kill switch wire Black .. sometimes has a white stripe.. DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES.. This is a no brainer... Ron

    New Or 2nd Hand?

unfortunately lad , 95% of the electrics problems are customer related...washing and not drying out the mag area, or riding in alot of water and not cleaning and drying out the electrics. 5 % are Manufacturer of the electrics mistakes.. not winding properly , or sealing of windings properly.. so you can hardly blame Beta for a part they did not make.. They however did buy them I suppose.. from the same company some other manufacturers do as well.. I will say Beta stands behind any newer failures due to a possible manufacturing defect.. but If your bike is more than a year old well you probably contributed to it i.e. washing / not drying out the electrics , etc.. Many people have stated here that they blow out the mag side with air then spray with good ole wd-40.. we do the same since 2000 no failures in this case on my Team Bikes.. Best of Luck .. Back on track with your thread.. the 06 Has been sorted , and so far the bike works awsome so your choice , 05's were brilliant to.. reliable and solid.. so best of luck in your choice .. i am sure JLI will take care of you well also..
  11. You can use the Rev 3 Replacement packing in the Rev 50 or 80 neat clean replacement. cost effective too..
  12. Couple of things.. JLI should have pullers.. second could be digital box , or as many have said in wiring possible short.unhook kill switch also and try revving out .. it is possible to be only shorting at high revs.. have also seen hot coil wire get a pinch and short at high rev..make sure plug gap is correct approx .030 best of luck ron beta usa ps ring john at lampkin imports he may have some other ideas..
  13. Ringo Star !!!! Nice to see you balls upped the endurocross.. Would have rather seen you on a Hot new 525 BETA RR4T Enduro.. well maybe next year.. new e... rcommojrataoldotcom.. Ron a ka... the party animal ...LOL
  14. Al It is my understanding that Any person who wishes and pays his or her way may attend.. If you represent a club or the sport in general. The meeting is not a closed session People with Idea's or proposals are encouraged to attend . If it was to get out of hand possibly they might set restrictions.. Alao FYI many of the members pay their own way .. So the people who say it is all paid party are grossly incorrect.. Also I suppose if you call a party sitting in a room for 3 days for 9 or 10 hours each day ..talking about rules, schedule and how to make trials better at the national level . then we party hard....LOL.. ron

    Rev 3 Manual

Manuals can be ordered thriough your importer.. At least I can order them ! 02's may be scarce but 03+ should be no problem Ron Beta USA
  16. Hey DMAN If you are who I think you are ...RI cried because Vermont was doing Nationals and they (RI ) couldn't do any more so last year Vt decided and TOLD RITC that they could do one in 06 and vt and RI could aternate after that .. HMM RITC had the perfect chance to pair with NY and set a 10 round series... Well no body stepped up ... Not enough events .. Stop Crying and step up.. Ps If your technique was better you could ride a 125 and be a better rider..instead of using 280 power to get you through!
  17. CRAIG AND ALL !!!!! READ MY POST ON " WHAT HAPPENED AT THE NATC MEETING" Alot is explained there!! Step Up ! Ron
  18. Gentleman( a loose term ) and Ladies.. Anyone who feels that the meeting could be better served by there presence (Lane , Craig ,etc.. ) The meeting is open to you to come and present your proposals.. You can speak freely and openly .. If you want to make a difference ,You must have a WELL thought out Plan / Proposal . . Many of the Council members are in favor of growing the sport and the youth riders #1 . The Council does a good job scheduling with what is given to them for options..for example We(members) can not make organizers move their respective dates to non school times ,We do encourage it.. However Weather plays a major role when and where.. With fuel prices so high the shedule is good this year.. Rider turnout will be high at all events because of the limited number of events.. New Flagging is going to be much easier for the organizer and the checkers ( no more looping on other lines to get a better run etc.. )To make the Pro's and all riders ride the INTENDED Line!!! All in all a Decent amount of progress was made to get our Youth riders , more prepared..I saw one person( on the web here) say they could not figure out why we would put HS on ES line .. Well many of them are at that level or above .. but through pressure of wanting to be the #1 HS rider,They continue to ride and have 2,3,4 points per day.. how much are they learning ,ZIP!!! So putting to some more challenge is good.. If a young rider is not comfortable there he can ride sportsman.. There are a ton of if's, and's or but's.. so if you do not like the way things are going ... then Go to the meeting and Step up... You will be heard.. Babbling and rambling here will get your ideas here only!!! Don't forget about the USMTA this organization is about promoting trials so get involved!! Lane, about getting our youths ready for Europe, I was in favor of a 125 expert class, I was basically shot down as we have an expert class.. I thought the kids willing to ride the expert class on 125 cc bikes would be on even ground , but as we all know the policing (125cc not 175 so on )of this would be very difficult. On the kids all riding 125cc bikes, Well alot of opposition to that because of the availability of only a few used bikes for kids to start out on vs the mass availability of bigger bore bikes.. Although the 125 teaches incredible technique.. Just could not sell that either.. Bottom Line.. If you would like to see changes, Set your calender.. Show up with a proposal..Present it.. Look for holes.. STEP UP !!!! Or Stop !!!
  19. Any good gearbox oil ELF 4t , PJ 1, etc..uses approx 150 cc
  20. Honestly... as far as events go this was a difficult task to arrange.. The west coast .. First of all we (The Natc Council Members) asked about having more events in the west.. No one wanted to host events except California , They did not want a stand alone event.. Oregon or washington could have stepped up to help the west guys... TTc was locked on there date for National / WTC.. by the FIM.. as you stated Ishy , Arizona was locked to either April or October due to the heat... Oklahoma similar situation..I have now moved to Georgia and Vt guys wanted a year to regroup .. and honestly we (I) thought RI was going to do one this year and Vt would aternate with them.. The markers is actually going to make section design way way easier on the organizer..No more looping in sections so easier to designate a intended line... Class structure well ... I disagreed with the womans es because the es class exists.. But the Junior Class is worth while.. and deserves credit.. As far as clubs not making money ... Thats BS I have done FOUR Nationals in two years and with NO Advertising Expense ( internet only) I had 250 paying spectators year one and 600 the second year.. and with the new split 5$ more per rider.. Money is not the issue.. Remember The Natc Provides stopwatches, now Radios, bibs(minder and press), sporting steward, scoring steward, clocks, punches, ribbon, and arrows.. A aggressive club can sell t-shirts.. have nice awards made for 7-8$ each we gave 3-5 places for each class.. We made decent money, the land owner made enough to pay some State Property Taxes The Taxes on the property we used are about 15,000$/ year.. So we helped her and got BEST event both days.. With a staggering 3.51 score out of 4.. Clubs can make money with an very small investment and Our Club worked very hard to get areas cleared, but it was only 10 members working 6-8 weekends and I took 5 days to do ALL LOOP and section marking and design.. for a decent profit... It takes no more work than a local trial... just need the checkers and a decent parking area.. The rest is just satisfaction knowing you challenged the best and got best event rated by the RIDERS!!!! That was profit enough for MY TIME !!!

    Vermont

Not only did he ride an beta 80 , but a box stock 80 at that :With a 12 point loop on his last loop , shows how good the 80 truly is .. he said the biggest problem was he kept flicking out of bounds cause it was to light.. We here at BETA USA are very proud of Ray and his accomplishments this year .. ! To take nothing away from Pat he rode really well on Sunday and would have been tough to beat on that day! Thanks to all who came to our event! Ron
  22. The dennis boys are also sponsored by BETA USA !!! Congrats, boys you did an awsome job .. now if we could get you to wear those Beta T - shirts at the awards ceremony!!! nice minding job mom and dad! Ron Beta USA

    Rear Caliper Carrier

02 or 03 ones are different ,but all replacements are the newer one .. you should loctite these bolts and make sure before you ride each time they are tight. The only way i ever saw them break was if one of the two bolts came slightly loose.. 14-16lb torque ok ..you also should always check b4 you ride these bolts: rear skid plate, foot peg brakets, rear brake pedal mounting bolt, front frame down tube bolts.. if you do this simple 3 minute check your bike will provide years of happiness!!! ron beta usa
  24. I am hoping James will continue with Beta he is a very polite and talented young man . Whom I enjoyed working with here in the USA Rounds.. My son liked him too.. On Ron III he will be 16 by next July .. Thats why we are looking ahead to next year.. As for the euro rounds.. well If we ride and do well (as americans ) no one would know as we cannot get any credit for riding them as we are not European.. How daft we must be to be pushed away from the sport yet we plan on coming to europe anyway... In the usa championship any world / european rider would be welcomed with open arms not pushed away like second class citizens.. careful nige your on a nerve here with the euro championships! The FIM wants to grow the sport yet .......well lets say I think all of the youngsters in the USA have a Legitimate chance to be competitive in the world in 3 years or so we may actually see more than 20 riders at WCT ..... Now that would be growth.. When I rode WCT in the late 80's there were 50+ riders and you were damn proud to be in the top 25.. now you gotta beat 2or 3 guys to score points.. I hope the sport will grow.. FIM take a look at the EU series and allow foreign riders to be recognized for thier accomplishments don't push them away!!!!
  25. AHHHH NIGE, If you look at my post he is going next summer...2006.. he will be ready by then . He has plans of working with James , and the Top Trial Team, as well as running to Spain with James D. to have a go at TONI's Practice area.. What an experiance.. ron
