Hi ive got the same bike and I first let the bike warm up well then point the bike away from any persons or anything of value and push it fwd and engage 1st gear. Ride the bike and go up and down the box a few times this seems to free things up. Use the Elf oil as the manual suggests as it really helps.

Hi Nice photo. The Greyhound pub is indeed still there and unchanged for years. There is a big model dinosaur in the front garden peering into the road I assume bought on a whim(why else) The area around the pub is very hilly so ideal for trials. Regards Martyn

Hi, I live in Westbury On Severn and practice most weekends at the quarry up at Birdlip. It is operated by Zona1 and it is located at Nettleton Bottom. It is a very well laid out site with toilets etc and all the guys who go there are very friendly and helpful. We pay £85 per year membership which is a bargain. Please note it is a trials only club and only trials bikes are allowed on site. There is a £15 deposit for the gate key. There is a dealer in Cinderford who can get you most things(Haines) and he is very helpful and friendly. Check out Zona1 website for details. Martyn

Hi all, Spent a couple of hours in the quarry on the weekend just having fun and then it happened...bike came down on top of me but I managed to save any damage(bike not me)...as I was holding it up (and trying to think how do I get out of this one) it occurred to me does anyone really give the underside of the engine a really good clean? Just a thought Feet up!

Great tips chaps Had this mono for 16 months and have not got fed up of playing with her. Used it 19 times(diary) and feel we are just about seeing eye to eye. The wife says I love my bike more than her but that's not true, the chickens come after my bike! Feet up!

Hi all, My mono has a very weak spark. I have replaced the ignition coil, cap, plug. The readings for the source coil and pick up coil are ok and Im now thinking it must be the cdi. The next prob is where to get one from? Anyone else had this prob? Cheers

Beginner Techniques - Where To Start
martyb replied to totty79's topic in Trials Training And Technique
I use the back brake going down steep hills to free up the steering and avoid the front wheel slipping sideways...it feels like a parachute slowing things down and gives me time to look at the options(or find a soft place to land) but I do ride a 88 mono with drum brakes so you need all the options available to mankind -
Thanks for the input I will try putting some air in using a mountain bike fork pump...any idea who made them? Martyn

I know nothing about Ossa bikes but looks interesting...I would do the same as you and strip it down and start from the frame up...hope you have fun on the project!

Love the paint job! Now go out and let it see the dirt and have fun!
