It has had a disc conversion on the front, I tightened it all up and it stopped moving by hand, but still moves back and forth when braking took everything apart this morning, all linkages seem fine and I regreased them but when I tighten the swingarm spindle once it gets to a certain point of tightness it starts binding ive tightened it up so much just before it starts binding, lock tighted it and went for a ride, moves more freely now but still creaks however, every little bump and the tire is hitting the rear fender, if I sit at the back of the bike it is rubbing constantly not too sure what to do now ? thanks for your replies

Hello I just picked up this beautiful 1985 250 mono, however it’s got a couple of weird things about it The rear is super stiff, I do not believe it has anything to do with the shock it feels like something else, it will go down a bit but not come back up also the front caliper rocks forwards and backwards, is this normal? It’s actually unridable atm, all the linkage bearings are newish and the swing arm I believe also any ideas guys? Just paid £2000 for this bike, other than these points it is lovely Thanks

So getting it bored out to 68mm then getting a ytz standard piston is probably the best way to go we think?
-
I was looking to get it bored out to 70mm, but they say they will need a good couple of goes to take the 3mm off so it’s looking around £120, I bought the piston kit off of wemoto for £35 hoping that would be it a YTZ standard piston will fit my 67mm bore? thanks

I would really appreciate that ??

Hello, I just bought a standard piston kit for my ty 250 88, but after trying to fit it I realised it was too big the piston is 70mm, but the bore on my cylinder is 67mm is there anywhere that sells a 67mm piston? I can’t seem to find it anywhere thanks, Dan

It does sound abit choked, like as if it's not getting enough fuel to build the revvs higher How could i check to confirm it's the coils? Yes I literally took the exhaust off, barbecued it hah my dad showed me a little trick to burn out the inside, sounded like a jet engine when he did it

Made no difference just to add

I appreciate you thinking in such depth, but i have tried various silencer also, including a 'wes' silencer

Well my ty 175 has much more power, put it that way No dents, i burnt the exhaust out to clear the carbon build up Also it use to have more power when i first got it im sure... I don't know what it is im even contemplating buying another one because i loved riding it when it was at full power, more than mx!

Hi, my ty 250 mono was running flat, had both my mx race bikes stolen so funds have been an issue of late but finally i took the top end apart and put in new piston rings, piston looked fine and barrel had minimal scoring Ran in the bike today (whether i needed to or not with just the rings) it DOES have a little bit more power but It's definitely still not at full power What could be causing the bike to run so sluggish? Could anything to do with the carb be the issue? It literally starts 1st kick Thanks

Hello, can anyone tell me where I could get piston ring(s) for my 88 ty 250 mono? Thanks
