  1. Hi , give Bultaco Uk a call on 01784 440033 as i know they have these in stock. They also have a good range of books which are superb for finding most Bultaco model ID and pictures.
  2. DEP Pipes make the silencer cores you require- in 3 different 2stroke diameters Any decent mx shop should be able to get them or call DEP www.deppipes.com
  3. I had the same problem with my 2003 290 sherco..My rad was replaced with the new ktm stamped type, but my one fits ok apart from the gap between the fan motor and plug cap like you said. the rad fits the same but the core sits lower in the rad if that makes sense, and i can get my plug cap to fit on to the plug just! .have now ridden the bike several times with no problems.
  4. I have just received one of Bultaco Uk's new seats for my model 158 and it is a perfect copy of the original and also it fits superb! unlike another firm's from hampshire!.

    Beta 4-stroke

i see that the new 4t has a CR Honda motocross 2 stroke throttle! (bigger throttle body)- maybe for quicker response!!
  6. rode the trial yesterday with the new vhst.- stronger power right through from bottom, not necessarily more bhp but stronger engine all round.better throttle response- comes in a little sooner. runs cleaner and the carburation doesn't 'wander' around like the old phbh. very pleased with initial first proper ride, very good trial with testing sections. the jetting seemed spot on- 126 main 33 pilot 300 fuel valve needle clip 2nd from bottom (this needle has 5 grooves instead of 4) getting the inlet michined down to 31mm this week to fit same as std carb. worth getting anf fairly easy to fit apart from getting someone you know to machine the carb!. i have not ridden an 05 or 06 290, so not sure how this would compare.
  7. have fitted the vhst today. the inlet into the manifold is 36mm in diameter as opposed to 31mm of the std phbh carb.it does fit but is very hard to push in and is a pain to take on and off each time to make adjustments to the setup. so as i lovetrials suggeted i am going to get it machined down to 31mm next week. when this is done then i can set up the jetting properly.have used an inlet manifold rubber i found that fits the larger back of the carb which is a similar size to the airbox fitting on the sherco, works a treat.the cable fits straight in so no probs there. will ride it at my local trial this weekend as it is. i have run it and ridden round garden and have since swapped the 34 pilot for a 33, it is the new type carb with the silver float tabs. first impressions are much more responsive and more initial grunt at the bottom. will see how it performs on sunday.............
  8. 'i love trials' please tell me what jets you are running in your vhst. got my vhst today and will hope to fit it this weekend. i have had it fitted with - 126 main 34 pilot 300 fuel valve. what are you using? ta.
  9. one last question? on your VHST do you use the same type and size of main jet (126) and pilot (33/34)?. in the above diagram it seems that the vhst pilot jet is very long. cheers for the info. pedro.
  10. thanks 'i love trials' for all the info and pics.more than i expected!! i am going to order one tomorrow from eurocarb they quoted me
  11. do you need a different length throttle cable? will the carb inlet fit ok without machining it down?
  12. message to i love trials, how easy/hard was it to fit your vhst? do you need a different cable and do you run the same jet size as the old carb? by the look of the carb it seems that it should fit straight on,but what about the angled top metal cable fitting? any help would be great as i will probably order one soon. thanks.
  13. has any one fitted a dellorto vhst flatslide 26mm carb to a sherco? i am thinking of fitting one to my 03 290 to improve thottle response.
  14. who do ya think is riding with the no.111 then "factory gasgas" could be a surprise! wadaya think eh?

  22. the last f/disc rear drum bike that fantic made was the 201/241/301 "progress 1" series which were red and white in 86. late in 86 they made introduced a "clubman" model which had drum back and front which was a cheaper option. they also released a "progress 2" model 201/241/301 which was the same bike as the progress 1 but had a red/white/blue petrol tank and a stupid front brake setup which had a cable/disc front brake- a cable leading to a master cylinder that was mounted where the front no plate was then down to a normal disc - crap spongy setup. in 87 they made the 203/243/303 models which were twin disc and red/white/blue but a completely new bike. in 88 the bike was the same as 87 but mainly white/yellow.this still had the same weird front brake setup. in 89 it was the 205/245/305 which was a new bike which looked brill and was white and flo orange.fantic usually made roughly the same bike for two years at a timre then realeased a different model. any 200/201/203/205/207 model was a 156cc " 240/241/243/245/247 was 212cc " 300/301/303/305/307 was 249(250)cc
  23. i have looked at all the renthal fatbar dimensions and the best bar that seems to match up with universal clamps is 686-01 ktm 2003 bend.i have matched these bars against the trials fat bar(taken both out of boxes and stood side by side) and the ktm ones are the lowest and by far the straightest fat bar that renthal make, you must take note of not only the height but also the "sweep" of the bar also. i have not tried these as yet,but may do in the near future. :hat:
  24. on my mates sherco he had the same problem.to fix it he drilled and tapped a 6mm bolt just behind the damaged part.it may be better to do both sides of the swingarm so the adjustment is the same.i did the same mod on my 88 fantic 303! :hat:
