I seem to have a prob with irc, keeps losing air in it?? Used mich no prob??? Finished man 17 trial at weekend with flat ??
-
Without sounding like the dabster, i would consider the stars boots as std the worst trials boot on the market, no flex at all and like wearing a pair of ski's on your feet! If you want to stall a lot with rear brake then they are the biz!
-
ND my comment was tongue in cheek......I guess over your head
-
Joan Gurt, where are you, you have customers that want your machine??
???
Billy Bolt has even gone to Enduro to avoid riding an inferior bike....
-
Bump stop is trashed on 280i Ohlins, does anyone know where i can get one from? get it sorted? the shock on later models seem a solid black rubber one? this one seems tan colour and softer?
Can we put new one on without stripping shock ?
-
I would take whatever they were offering ....
-
Exactly, but what represents a viable fix? If your vert costs 5.8k then 3 years later the ecu or fi need replacement what u gonna do!! Bike not worth spending £££ ?? It's unknown territory??!!
-
Chris, the Ossa is great, as you have discovered, how long for nobody knows? they use same Kokusan F1 system as Vert, so we are all in the dark how resilient this type of bike will be. But your car injection system has bee around a long time and still works on very long in the tooth cars . But! when they go wrong its the knackers yard!!
-
gg249, that was an ace reply...and right to th point!!
-
Chris not sure what you mean?( language)
Can you explain?
Ian
-
you are finding probs that are not there, forget cables, you dont need to tinker, there are no problems...
-
Chris, if you want one buy it, lifes to short, its a great bike, just ride it!!
-
Andy, so whats the diff with the Ossa? rubbish build at first a lot better later??
I'll let anyone disagree with me?/you rubbish everything....
-
Sorry dude, i beg to differ, you have stuck the boot in every time some one says anything positive regarding Ossa, come to think of it most bikes actually!!
You will never steamroller me with your opinions, i say what i think, its unfortunate what has gone on with a very good machine, but look what happened to GG?
Are you saying no one purchased those? so they have gone dpwn??
Its a dog eat dog world, they were spendthift with the wonga, and a few other dodgy things, poor build as well, but so were GG when Pro first came out, i know i had one.....
Does not make it bad bike just as usual, rushed out to get the wedge in, Vertigo dont seem to have that prob with M. Jane backing it.
-
Lets all buy Vertigos, then we can go with a herd!
Vert/Beta/Sherco/Mont/Scorpa = Good
Ossa = bad.....As the messiah of all trial and font of knowledge ND says....
-
What??
Jan Gurt Where are you??
You have an audience.... And a some buyers!!!
-
where do i send my money......................i have a soft spot for lost causes....ND.......!!!
-
Dabs, Andy,
Have you got ocd?
Are you embarking on a Dof2 crusade? maybe you are bored with the tit for tat with him, and have changed to me?
Your opinion is yours only, i expressed mine, there are not any rubbish bikes, just what we prefer, there is no flaw in my so called "argument" For a so called "sh*t bike Chris Hunt seems to do ok? i've ride one better than i have done for a long while, and dont forget B Bolts close second in BTC earlier in year!
The vert seems a brill bike, but still not so radical as the dreaded Ossa.
Keep harking back to years gone bye, you are showing your age, i'll get down with the kids..... bro.... xx
-
In my opinion! Nothing more nothing less, I gave up on gg in 05/06 now they are the last bike I would buy, who's right? Vertigo does look nice though, and I would guess we'll tested? And put together? Time as usual will tell. Std vert is £5750.00 according to talk at trial Sunday from dude that had been to test day Saturday.
-
Yep, we are in minority though, yes it's had it faults, but it's a great bike, as I've said on another post, they are the best trials bike I have even ridden, and like you I am not too young and have rode everything....
-
Oi...Thats me that is........
-
Nothing personal, you know that!
read my post above properly, your blinded by trying to be right on everything...
You have your say, everyone has to agree with you then all good!!! i don't agree with your view, i said what i think, i've now repeated it a few times, bike good, design good, build quality shaky, especially early models, management dodgy, very slight chance could make comeback??? maybe..... If not i'll keep riding it until i want/need something else. simples!!
I'm off to do some crap work now, to pay for all the gearboxes etc i need....
-
Well said Crazy... Yes i remember the KTM bikes were scorned, (in the eighties/ninety's) especially from the yanks!! who would buy this euro crap....now look who's laughing?? deffo not the japs!!!
Andy, Dabster, you are a strange and complex individual, your posts can be very informative and useful, but on the other side can be very narrow minded?
I have no brand allegiance , to me a machine is nothing more than that, a machine! what i have been trying to convey is that the Ossa is a very good bike, if they fluked it just for the euro payout, as 249 (james said) then its a good fluke!!
It seems you have a very brit mentality, build something, then knock it down, i sincerely hope that Joan Gurt can resurrect Ossa, it wont be for any reason other than i thought the bike is (was?) a great design that had a shedload of potential!
What will be will be, if it proves right and they go again, well good on them, but at least i wont gloat on a small factory that tried to do something original but failed...... even if the idea was to grab the euro slush fund, i dont suppose the ordinary worker gave that a thought either?
Regards,
Ian

Well, a faint heartbeat from the "dabsters" dead and buried marque!! Just goes to show its never over till its over!!
Maybe they want to prove you wrong.....id buy a bike just to say i had proved the all seeing one wrong!!!!
-
Hi,
What's the best packing material for the tremignoni exhaust? Loose or wadding, seems like there is some wire wool in there as well!!
