i guess my english is not so good....must be the keyboard warrior coming out!!
-
Well i still think its more advanced then the Vertigo....
If electric water pump it would have the full hand!
Shame i didn't win the euro millions as i would fire them back up!
I've had every bike made over the years, and i would say the Ossa is the best one ive ever rode.... (in my opinion)
Que the na sayers.......

Yep, that was Leic finest boys in blue as well!!
Keep paying your shedloads of tax, most are on rest days, then they retire at 50 on mega pension, we pay for naturally...

Hi Mark, its very long tale, tip off from a person local, after Rob put on Facebook, followed up, found van hire co, then they helped with who hired van to move a couple of bikes. needless to say the plod where there useless self, it takes them 10 mins to turn round!!
Gave all addys to them, names etc, of lowlifes, nothing happened. My opinion of the plod was pretty low, its subterranean now....they are a total waste of space....If you have anything nicked tough! sort it yourself!
I got the two ossa from some scrotes in long eaton, would torch the fu""wits in leic that i know had the bikes from the start, but as you know the constabulary would be more interested in trying to arrest me than the scum they are so eager to protect.
Sherco and Beta still awol...
Will be back soon.....
-
Yawn, as usual, ends up as my bike is better etc....the original poster asked about Ossa future
I don't think anyone knows?? Does not look to Rosie though. All I was ever saying was I like them.
Last models seem pretty goodies, even gearbox feels sturdy!! Snicks into gear well, had some grief with the bloody thing, but if they had carried on, and improved quality they would have been up there. Prob never know? This is my opinion, so can anyone that likes to get off on slating anyone with an opinion go f@ck themselves.

beta, very interesting post....cock
-
eddie, not denying facts, or anything else, how plain can i be.....i do not dislike anyone or anything for giving their opinion.
do you not understand plain english....
-
GG ?? sheds of bike sold......
Its not that im bothered if you like or dislike Ossa or anything else for that matter, its the constant disparaging remarks you always seem to make whether it be personal or bike related.
Also seems like you have a direct line to the CEO of every bike manufacturer, past and present...
I like the Ossa, if it comes back, great, if not bummer..... but sh*t happens.
Maybe you should lighten up your posts a little!
Anyway, i'm going to try to get a ride in now, if the Ossa doesn't break down!!! If it does, i'll tell you about it.........
If you want to stress, moan about how crappy the weather is at the weekend every bloody week.......

Nige, i know what you are trying to say, ive never been to GG factory or anywhere near, i say what i think, i dont care if its not what people agree with, ive given my opinion on the bikes, yes i have one, well two, but ive already said i would have another, and mentioned the aggro i had with both, but still i think, and it my opinion and mine alone that they are a very good designed machine. it suits my riding and i enjoy riding the bike. if it was crap i would say so, no worries about that.
Its just you seem to fly at subjects shooting from the hip, and expect everyone to accept what you say.
I guess its all speculative at the moment if GG come back as before, or if Ossa will return, i have my doubts.....
But the bike is fundamentally a brilliant design, made by a flawed set up, ah well.....i'll keep riding it for a bit, now ive got both Ossas back from the thieving scum that nicked them...

Ian

Surely, if you design a bike like that, you must have some interest, if just for the euro dough you would maybe build a trs or something same as everything else, so quick turnaround for it. Seems bit strange to go for something so different and not have a real desire to carry on??
Who knows??
-
Well Nige, what do you say about GG then, loads of bikes sold, most popular trial bike i would guess, still sank!
A lot of your posts are interesting, but then you fire off one that makes you sound a right T*T
I think in the short time they were going they sold a reasonable amount of bikes, it was the dodgy build quality etc that harmed them.
And a littlle spendthrift as well!!
GG had/has (did) but they still came back, (well not now!)
I would buy one if they start up again...and i've had loads of aggro with them.

Well, i guess that proves there is a willing audience to buy their product? If they can get back on their feet??

Hi
Ive attached a pic of sparky plug taken out from bike, any thoughts?
Bit pinky and lean today!
Tried a pic, not a Scooby how to do it!
Anyway, outside perimeter is black and sooty, porcelain bit and electrode bit is very rustic dry brown colour, almost sandy and very dry looking?
Any ideas?

Hi
Lots of ossa experts on this thread, so off tangent a little, but anyone know how many 14 factory reps came to UK ? Or any around?

Hi
I would guess the stack height is incorrect on the clutch plates. Get it measured up, you can get different thickness plates to end up with the correct height.

Blimey, i think you could write an essay on this? I'm one of the 80s 90s riders you are mentioning, i alternate between 50/50 or hard or even clubmen class depending on the trial how knackered i am from a week of work etc.
You could give a stack of answers, some like to win or be near the top, some find the sections just to tight, that is a major problem? the sections may not be too hard or dangerous but it's the sheer effort of hopping leaping about that puts some off!
I'm not too bad a rider, but i don't bounce like i did at 20...and after riding for years have picked up a lot of niggling injuries that will never go away!!
When i was riding at my best i still had to fit in work, general living etc, but could still ride all the nationals, even some WTC, and get round with my limbs still on!! nowadays most riders could not even attempt any of the sections in the BTC or WTC.
I think trials has split, you have a few young guns, who think they are better than they really are, the really good riders who can get round all the big sections ok, then the majority who have their own sport of trials, which involves some form of enjoyment not a physical endurance test!!
I know that this is only scratching the surface of the reasons, but thought i would put me two pence worth in...

Ian

Looks like no news... well only bad..
-
Steve, you obviously have an opinion on everyone and everything, hindsight is wonderful after events. If betas are dated then why buy one,? If you are so opinionated how come you let a dude persuade you to buy such an old heavy bike
-
Well if ossa rise like a Phoenix I would have another....seems a long shot at mo!
I reckon ossa is like marmite you either like or hate....
-
Looks a bit ****ty, never many Ossa at any trials i attend, looks like even less now!! Shame really...same old bikes year on year....ah well i like to be different....!!
-
And I need a password to your site, I've got stuff in loft etc to send you but it's too much aggro to go and dig it out at mo!
So cannot get on to the new stuff you have put on grrrr
-
James, I agree to an extent, but I want to ride a bike I like, and enjoy. I suppose there is a fair few that want the "safe" option. I personally think the ossa is one of the best bikes I've ever ridden. I genuinely enjoy time on this machine more than any other I have ridden !!
That's why I really want to find out if this manufacturer will ever get off the ground again?
Yes the starting has been a problem, and I've had gearbox trauma, but I would like to stick with this bike if it survives, which I'm not sure it will?
Sometimes cost and safe don't go hand in hand with emotion... Blimey I feel all philosophical....
-
Nige, what do they need? apart from euros!! by the bucketful...
