  1. Hi Pitley, Nice to put a face to the names on TC my TY is still std apart from the WES, I've only just put the pipe on and to be honest I can't notice any difference with the bike......probably a waste of
  2. Nice to see you again Stu, I thought the trial was spot on after a xmas day dinner, was it Pitley with you today??

  4. Bought a sticker set for my TLR off ebay, spot on stuff, very good quality.......can't think of the guys name but there was only a couple of sellers doing trials stickers....good luck

    Cv Carbs

That made me laugh, I had the exact same thing happen to me on a KLX 650, took the carb top off to see if the boot was split and I could not get it back in for the life of me....Had to spend
  7. Ive been supplied a replacement gearbox sprocket for my 200, the std one I took off was secured by a large lock washer and two 10mm bolts that fix through the sprocket. The new one has no bolt holes in the sprocket to fix the washer with, have I been given the wrong sprocket (it fits the shaft good) or do I have to use a large circlip to hold the sproket on with ?? cheers mark
  8. IT175.....nice, if it's anythning like my pinky yam the spares are still out there. Future classics, thats another subject oh what to buy now that will be a classic in a few years time...Beta Rev3 200 / Scorpa SY250 maybe??
  9. Did you do the mods ?? My old O2 bike was fine in standard trim, a mate had a 'racing' version...very pokey indeed, too much for me!. It felt like a 280 Gas Gas..fine if you like that sort of thing

    Beta 4-stroke

Carb is a Carb, the only difference with CV is the how the Throttle slide is opened..........I'm a bit dissapointed in the whole look of the bike...too much like a rev3!....I would imagine there saving money by using the rev3 cycle parts bin, surely after umpteen years of the 'rev' look they would opt for something a bit different?

    Beta 4-stroke

Over thirty trials on mine now, and the hardest it was ever to start was after a get off, it flooded the airbox with fuel. So how cheap does a 3.2 go for these days?? I've only ever seen two in the flesh

    Beta 4-stroke

I would have thought you would have kept your 4T AA, you did spend a fair bit of time tatting around with it........I'm waiting for the s/hand prices to come down before I go off and buy me a nice Honda 4rt
  13. Cheers MT, I've just painted the frame and I'm in the process of putting it all back togethor in the next few days/weeks. The bike is in very good nick for it's age, I can only imagine that this is because the bike has lived it's life on road and not off so to speak, wheels and spokes are in very good condition, rear shocks and fork stantions are also very good, engine sounds sweet.....I've took off the lights and all the unwanted tack.....I'll bang on a few pics of before and after when it's done
  14. My T reg vaux combi takes one trials bike ready to go, dare say if you took the front wheel out it might carry two bikes......50 odd to the gallon too
  15. cheers for that m8, which colin appleyard shop is it?...there seems to be a couple.
  16. Haynes don't seem to do one, can you get one on CD or Clymer ? (TLR200 BTW) Cheers Mark
  17. For heat I use a Black and Decker hot air gun, try not to use flame.....bitch of a job when any sort of shaft seizes in place. Good luck
  18. After all I'd said about TLR's need not apply......I've got hold of a TLR200 it's been brought in from Japan and in need of a little tlc which reflected the price. No doubt I'll end up spending a fourtune on it.....best not tell the missus eh Cheers for all the info guys re the twinshock bikes
  19. Very nice Woody, damm...I wish I'd have bought one of the bultaco's that I saw at the Stafford show. Steve did mention that a ty250 in std trim wasn't up to much.......anybody know of any 350 bultaco's for sale???
  20. I quite like the Honda's, I've had two TLR 250's over the years (one was my first ever trials bike) I would like to own one again but I just don't think the bikes are worth the money people seem to be asking....... horses for courses and all that. From what Steve was saying today Bult and jap bikes are the best to go for with the spares situation in mind, I love to do my own work and I would hate to own something that I know the spares were getting rare or even non exsistant. I've hopefully got a contact number to a guy whos has a ty250 t/s for sale, failing that I'll keep my eyes peeled for a bultaco 350.
  21. I would say probably 'best value classic' Stu, I want something I can ride with fear of breaking that hard to find part or have to worry too much about knocking it about. I'd like it to be competative but I don't want to pay any more than
  22. Cheers for the reply woody, looks like its next year for me then
  23. Cost of machine and ease of getting hold of spares, ride quality etc etc.......TLR's need not apply due to the high cost of the bike on the s/h market.....am i right in thinking along the lines of TY twinshock (250?) of Bultaco 250 / 350.....any comments gents?
