fork yokes all 35 mm for twinshocks: late 125 (early 32mm) 200, 240, 300. Also 301 , 303 and 307. Sections are 38mm Paioli or 40mm Marzocchis
-
Hi Glenn,
I was the guy who pushed up the price on the forks and yokes...sorry. I did manage to buy an exhaust, airbox etc etc. What I think you bought is the flywheel weight for the clutch side!!! Thats what the pic looked like. Anyway, I have never heard of a bolt on weight for the 240. Chris
-
Peter, phone steve goode, he can get you the WES brackets. Chris will think they are much better than his exhausts....
Or trial cast sell brackets only....maybe only fit trialcast pegs, i dont know

greeves is right on all accounts except.........
I have swapped the 240 and 300 chain tensioners in an emergency and both will work.
Classic Trial tanks are nicers than 240 tanks......
-
i am pretty sure the beta shock will not fit. its shorter, wider and progressive....
good value shocks are available from reiger. Excellent shocks from

Here is a 340
240 Frame, 303 Motor, 300 exhaust, 28mm Keihin carb, Bigger airbox modded WES 300 silencer
If you want a steeper head angle, speak to classic trial.
The next one has a 305 motor going into it which is a far AS i WANT TO PUSH THE TWIN SHOCK RULES OVER HERE:
I HAVE THE 303 RIMS FITTED AND A TUBELESS REAR BUT STILL ON 300 DRUMS:
a 95 SECTION FORK IS STILL TO BE FITTED:
sTILL GET TWO FOR THE PRICE OF A NEW MAJESTY FRAME
-
did you get a 26mm oko from chris? let me know how close the jetting is
-
-
know what you mean...photo is july last year. bike looks the same today
-
I ve been offered this 95 section.
What is it worth as it stands
The seller wants about 1500 euros for it or about 1050 quid.
Now think that there are the following new bits
1 x 40mm magnum Forks and Yokes...unused
2 x pairs new sidepanels
2 x new seat units
original speedo unused
new front caliper
1 set of old used plastics and a few other olds and ends.
Now what should I opay for that lot....the fork would fit my 340 nicely.....

I did it ok 2 nights ago. Head left on, no airbox or carb.
Remove all nuts and springs, go forward and rotate and then remove backwards plus twist at the end.

ty 250 is best i reckon, beamish is about the same, 200 fantic is better than both and 240 the bestest----in my opinion

Hi Glenn, I can syparthise with you as far as distance is concerned. I will drive neraly 800 miles at easter to ride the exmoor. At least its three days.
In sommer I will do it again to northen england for the sun inn classic trial, again 3 days. But once you finish after all that....feels good as long as the fanny hold up and you brake nothin!
-
I get them from steve goode, he has other fantic stuff like taps etc. the experts come in 33cm,34cm and 35,6cm. Get the longest. My falcoms are 37cm as I weigh alot and sink the bike just standing on it. Steve will ask your weight so dont be embarressed ;-)

I have used betors, njbs and falcons. cant say out about rockshocks.
If the std marzocchis are a base line,(a new set got sold in ebay france last week for 170 quid!) then the betors are definitely worse in my opinion. The falcons are the best on feel but are the most expensive. Peolpe tell me that the falcons WILL leak but they are rebuildable. I have two sets of falcons and they both have lost there rebound in only a few weeks., that doesnt both me as i like some spring on rebound. The njb experts (clubman are US) come a std or trickshox with spherical bearings top and bottom. I cant tell the difference between the two but like both. At under 100 quid they are good value also. I have 3 pairs of njbs and they havent leaked although over 2 years old.
I would say that the falcons are better than the std marzocchis and the njbs are very very close to it

Hi Steve,
WES is in Brecon, lower mid wales? I use his springs in the 240 and 300 forks I have. They are very soft and quite short, you will need to make spacers to pre-load them to what you want. I found them better on the 300 than the 240 forks. I find the travel luvverly and soft, and , er , well, progressive. My mate thinks they are horrible.......
Give him a cal first as I am not sure if he sell retail to the public. If your mate mentions my name itz might hgelp....or he may get kicked out!

i fink its prob able the best of the bunch. the 200 woz great but no pokey enuff for my lardy mass. the 300 was wizzo but a bit of an oil tanker if you have to do any turns. Parts are mostly availabe although clutch baskets and kickstart gears are getting scarce without needing dentures. Electrics can be rewound, the tanks are being remade and the seats can be homemade at a push. Marzocchis are lush and the handling can be tightened up if you want the experts to go at it with a grinder.
i now have 4 left, one with a 243 engine, one has a 303, and 2 have 305 motors in the making. Section forks etc but still wid drums
luv em to bits me...but i like wes silencers as well
