  1. Why you selling it? Whats wrong with it? I'd sooner buy the one your keeping
  2. Try Sandifords apparently they need all they can get
  3. I attended the TW test day last week. Had ample time to ride the Beta's and Sherco's. I was impressed by both in different ways however i could not ride either of them as easily as i can a Gas Gas. I have an 02 Gas Gas Pro 250. Today i was very kindly loaned an 05 Gas Gas pro 250 by White Bros. where i buy my bikes from.I took the bike to my local practice area and i could not believe the difference in this years model to my 02. Little by little improvements have been made but the end result is significant. The tapered bars are fantastic, very comfortable and whilst riding up and down a very rocky stream for 10 to 15 minutes i felt less fatigue in my arms and wrists than normal. The longer front pipe makes a huge difference in power delivery as well as sounding lovely and the front forks are in my opinion the best out there. The details around the carb mounting and air filter housing design are all brilliant little details. Repositioning the rear brake fluid reservoir to help refit air filter housings again is a huge leap forward. I think we may be moving forward faster than we think.
  4. Just spent a day on one Munch they're awesome Probably take a while to work out the less throttle you give it the more grip you find cos my heads now in two stroke mode. How many more you got ordered ?
  5. Just had an 05 250 pro on test for a day. It's a totally different bike to my 02 pro. Those tapered wall bars are amazing and the exhaust sounds fantastic and it has altered the power delivery completely. The air filter/seat unit comes on and off in a trice and the carb comes out without having to remove filter housing. The new forks are so smooth and work fantastically. Thanks lads for keeping all this a secret from me!
  6. How many lads are replacing tubeless tyres and not getting them to seat properly so they bang in a tube? Don't make a lot of difference tube type or tubeless. Rode a gg pro with an IRC tyre today very impressed.
  7. heard they are changing the power delivery and testing constantly How many of those you got ordered Munch
  8. Wish i'd thought of that. means you can drool over both sides at once
  9. Munch the kickstarts are machined in half where your boot goes...presumably to miss the footrest but it looks sharp and out of place Munch are you going to have two?
  10. Anyone got any thoughts/comments on the kickstart?
  11. Son has an 02 250 Pro and he was out on it today. Started warm engine and selected first gear.No problem. Let out the clutch and pulled away and there was a "strange Noise" then it jumped out of gear. He selected nuetral and restarted engine. No noise till he selected first again and again it jumped out. Pushed it back to the van. Anyone experienced this before i start stripping it down?
  12. Nigel you have sat and been photographed on every 4rt worldwide and you are still undecided? Me thinks Mrs Dabster must wear the trousers in your house
  13. Have tou tried them for size/fit. Hebo are very small fitting and shoei seem to be big. I've got a shoei and its great but very heavy. Just tried an airoh today they're about
  14. JR SUNT i'm disappointed in you lad. you rode a trial on the 4rt and your only comment is about r2w's 4.5 kgs. The Pro is allegedly 69kg and the 4rt 73.8kg. Does your comment mean you think it feels way heavier? How do you rate it against your 315? Spill the beans about your first ride please 4rt will probably be lighter than a Pro when all the restrictors are removed
  15. Had a ride on a Mont 4rt today Haven't stopped grinning since. I have a pro and i didn't notice a sizeable difference on the Mont. The clutch was very jerky, on and off, but if you left it alone the bike would just about stop in 1st, 2nd or 3rd then pick up again from dead without any hesitation. Nuetral was difficult to find but the bike was brand new. The lad that rode it round the trial said he did everything in first and it was fantastic. It really sounds lovely and the little quality touches like the rubber mounts the tank sits on are sweet. Footrests don't compare to Hebos but the positioning was fine. The electronic restrictors have to be removed to fit a kill button and the very rear restrictor in the exhaust was removed before i rode it. Very, very impressed just got to save up then find one now
  16. Not a mention of a fat lass anywhere PERCE....you must have been impressed Think you will be hard pushed too find better footrests than GAS GAS anywhere
  17. Cheers Craig10 i just ordered one for Santy to bring me :santawink: Any idea who sells these :cam:
  18. What goes around comes around it looks like seats are back Now where's my barbour jacket
  19. i love the way chain tensioners float opposite the single sided swing arms
  20. Thanks R2. Sherco and Beta will be on test at Ravensdale near Richmond, on Kathryn Wardle's parents farm, soon so i will go and try them. The Mont sounding big and heavy concerns me as i'm used to the Pro. I'm amazed that the bikes did not sound like they were "set" up. Tickover i mean not levers as everyone has there own preferences. I think the Sherco is the best looking bike followed by the Beta then the Mont. Beta sounds the best and theyappear to be reliable. Having said that and i'm sure most will agree maintainence goes a long way to reliability
  21. How do tyre swaps work in the SSDT. I'm sure i heard somewhere you give your wheel to the Michelin or Dunlop guy and they change them for you. Is that outside assistance or is it permitted?
  22. Cheers R2. As your being such a sport you can include the Gas Gas if you like do you think the Beta rear suspension is better than the Pro?
  23. What did you like the best R2. Disregard the GG please I think a full test report from you is in order
  24. It does remain a mystery. How much money are the factory loosing? They have ceased production on the only model they made and can't deliver the next model. With the different engine sizes required by schoolboys these days it makes you wonder how the factory survives on one model? I know it's honda and they are huge but i can't believe they would do anything that is going to loose them money. Beta, GAS GAS, Scorpa and Sherco couldn't manage with one model i'm sure
