  1. Anybody know where the results are from the trial on Saturday at hill farm? Thought they would of been on here by now.
  2. Hi guys. I'm looking for the black adhesive frame rub strip for an 07 txt pro. Not sure what to call it really, its not a carbon fibre effect bit that is cable tied on. It's an original rub strip on the frame that is black in colour and is stuck to the frame. If you know what I mean let me know because I'm not sure where or what to ask for. Cheers, Lee.
  3. After cleaning mine I always blast out all electrics and moving parts with an airline to get rid of any water, then spray them up with wd40 or gt85 to get rid of any water left anywhere. Same with the chain.
  4. Yep! I don't ride my bike untill its completely warm. When the fan comes on, that's when I know it's time to ride. I see people turn up to a trial, kick the bike over and away they go to section 1. They then wonder why they didn't make it up the steep part or why their bike has stalled, then sit there looking at the bike as if something isn't right. Duhhhh. Have you solved this issue yet?
  5. I have had electrical issues with my gasgas. The pickup coil went and was told by gasgas themselves that these never go an the only way to get one was to buy a new stator for about
  6. That's irrelevant surely... You said you change them after every 4 trials. So doesnt matter how often you ride, your still changing them after 4 trials. For what it's worth, if you feel like you have grip, the tread is fine. If your struggling for grip, get a new tyre. Or if your a bit strapped for cash, turn the tyre round.
  7. Hi sting, thanks for the reply and info. Luckily I have sorted the problem now, I ran some gas through the jets to remove any water or crap in them that wasnt visible. Rode today and ran crisp. I guess the smallest things sometimes make the biggest problems. Thanks anyway guys for your replys, much appreciated.

    Finally Back!

Great news! Keep it clamped down, indoors and out of sight!
  9. Well done to Ross. Done a south shrops trial last weekend, he was there ripping it up again.
  10. Never ears of checking tyres, just make sure they are square as stated above. Not to sure about changing tyres after every 4 trials though, seems a bit extreme to me. We're not talking MX here. I've had my IRC tyres on for about 6 months now and they are still good. That's riding rocks, limestone and mud. Daily.
  11. Right, so I found out what you are on about. Where do I find it on the bike though lol? Have looked on the diagrams in the manual but can't seem to find it?
  12. You also might want to check the screen in your spark arrestor/silencer as well What do you mean by that mate? Don't quite understand what part you are on about.
  13. So, I messed with the air screw, cleaned out the carb and still is frappy at top end of the gears. Have let the bike warm up fully but it still does it. Fuel flow is good, tank is clean. Any ideas? Havnt changed the plug yet but didn't know how much of a difference that would make. Cheers, Lee.
  14. Air filter is cleaned after every ride and is a new one. I'm not one of these who throws it in the shed for a week before riding again. Will check the plug and clean out the carb. It's not wide open, just a tootle with consistent throttle alon flat straights, 4th gear seemed fine but third seemed to run out. Was very wet and boggy so could of been spinning up a bit I suppose.
  15. Hi again. Just a slight issue which is probably a simple fix but would like some input. Done a trial today ad basically the bike seemed to be under powered. Underpowered as in, say I'm in third gear, the revs didn't seem to last long enough. You know when you get that raspy sound when you reach the top end of the gear? I mainly noticed it when riding between sections on a long flat , opening the throttle open. Also have noticed it doing steep hill climbs that it will start to make a raspy noise. A bit like the noise when your engine is not quite warm enough, although it has been running and is warm. Only thing I need to add is that my sprocket and chain is worn. I knew about this before the trial and have bought a new front and rear sprocket and chain to go on. 41t on the back and 10t on te front. Wondered if it was my air screw or something simple? Cheers, Lee.
  16. Yes, just go for it. You are a beginner, so a beginners route is designed to be rideable by a beginner. I done my first proper trial last month and actually won the B route. Have done 4 more trials since then and have loved every one of them. People in trials are always happy to help and give advice, don't worry if you fall off, we all do. The more riding you do, the quicker you will learn. Have fun and post back how you get on. Good luck!!
  17. Hmm still no results. Are they coming?
  18. Any news on when the results will be available?
  19. Just cleaned the bikes off. Was a good day and the rain held off. I done the B route but should have probably done the A looking back now. Lets see what the results say. Cheers for the effort put into the trial, enjoyed it!
  20. Yeah revs racing is where I go. B route is fine for novices, some sections you may find super easy but others will have a tricky bit thrown in. Stourbridge club trials are usually twisty turny as appose to steep and obstacles. I prefer the steep obstacle trials myself but all is good practice when your learning. Good luck, see you there.
  21. Anyone doing it? I will be going as its my local practice place. Will be my second proper trial so will stick the B route though I do practice the A route when I'm there. Went last weekend an it was really cover in leaves and a lot of clay like mud. Very slippy in places. So yeah, post if your going and hopefully see you there.
  22. I use IRC front and back. 6-7 in the front 3-4 in the back Tubes in both. I'm 11stone and find these pressures the best.
  23. So you drained the gear oil by taking the casing off? Never heard of doing that before as there is a drain plug underneath your bike... As for the stiff clutch, nothing what you do to drain the oil should affect your clutch. If you have been taking bits of the bike apart just to drain the oil then I'm guessing something somewhere has come loose or you have not put something back. I think you have misunderstood how to change oil on a bike though :/ Underneath your bike is a bolt, 10mm or 11mm if I remember correctly, could be wrong. Undo that and let the oil drain out, instead of taking off the casing.
  24. I clean and gap my plug after every ride so I know it's good for the next trial. Obviously if it fails, it fails but keeping it in good condition is half the battle. It's a 5 minute job aswell as cleaning your air filter after every ride. Good maintenance is key to off roading.

    Messy Oil Change

I use a funnel with a piece of brake hose attatched to the bottom, cable tie it to your frame and pour your ATF in. Simples.
