  1. I leave it hooked around the tensioner arm- then use a screwdriver with a 'U' cut into it to push the straight portion that goes into the swing arm up and into the slot.
  2. The crank seals were toast on both my older OSSAs. Those seals are pretty darn old now if original.
  3. I like the idea of is bike a lot. But I really like my OSSA Explorer and since this appears to be much in the same vein that makes sense. The OSSA is 20lbs lighter- which I like. It has been quite reliable for me, a few things breaking here and there but as good as the KTMs I've had. Perhaps the 4ride will be even better there- I know they get great fuel mileage, that would be a huge bonus. The power delivery of the OSSA is fantastic, I've never ridden a Montesa so can't comment. I expect different (both are injected, so I wouldn't expect issues with elevation, temperature etc) My Explorer is plated here in Washignton state (just an inspection and a couple of side reflector stickers)- and I expect the 4Ride would be the same. 50mph is fine on my bike - but with the tyres and pressures I run not very fun. Much better if I up p me up. But I would expect the 4Ride to be superior. For my use, I like the trials gearbox and the shifter far forward. I hope they bring it to the States.
  4. Price isn't bad- have you price the stock stuff? I'm going to order a set (although it appears to be on back order)

    Really Easy Start

Rode all day yesterday and a bit the day before. The 'button' works great and super easy starting. Bike is covered in mud right now, I'll try to get it cleaned up and take some pics. I did manage to loose the left side plastic piece, the one that says 'OSSA' on it and is bolted on, not the cliped on one. Darn it! Probably can't get one either. If anyone knows of a source, please let me know.

    Really Easy Start

In this case it is only used a few seconds at a time. But I take your point and will make allowances
  8. Do I want to know how much a new gearbox costs?

    Really Easy Start

Yes, I do,have a charger, it is a balance charger and not very much. The battery should not require charging very oten.
  10. Wow! I'm surprised it came loose. When I pulled my gearbox to replace a spring, those took quite a bit to get loose. Hope it all works out.

    Really Easy Start

Yes, 3 cell LiPo http://www.amazon.com/Turnigy-1300mAh-20C-Lipo-Pack/dp/B0072AEKY8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 And starter button http://www.amazon.com/Technologies-12-0215-Style-Electric-Switch/dp/B007GLUJRU?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 I'll make up a wiring diagram, but super easy. I put the battery under the seat, but certainly could be up by the handlebars or something I left the factory Easystart etc. installed. This is in addition. Also would,be useful on huge trail if you had some issue, hit the button and can tell if the fuel pump is running.

    Really Easy Start

I've made a new addition to my OSSA (2104 Explorer) The AAA Rechargeable batt (inside the factory Easystart) gave me some issues on a ride, so I hooked up LiPo battery and it worked great. But I didn't want to leave it in all the time, so I installed a KTM style start button. Wired it so the LiPo battery could apply power to the Diagnostics port. This runs the fuel pump for a moment and 'wakes up' the ECU. The bike starts first kick cold or hot. The LiPo battery is quite small. I'll get some pics etc. working on getting more connectors, but just used the 'dummy' plug with some appropriate pins. Mark
  13. I looked at the pictures, and perhaps the Termi won't even fit on the Explorer? Anyone ever tried it? It appears that it may extend where the subframe is located on the Explorer.
  14. If your clutch is stuck (pretty common)- tie the lever to the bar and let it sit. If that doesn't work, then start the bike and warm it up- then hold the clutch in, push the bike a bit so you can slide it I to gear. Go about 10mph and stomp on the brakes, while holding in the clutch.
  15. Didn't someone post the numbers? I have them all- I'll try to get them tomorrow. I may have some pics of replacing them also. I was going to do a video- but was out of time to get something setup. The bearing puller I put the link to makes it really easy
  16. I've taken them out various methods. If desperate, you can crush one- get it out, then drive the other out with appropriate pipe/socket etc. Warming up the swingarm helps, so does some penates riding fluid. I've been using a bearing removeal tool for quite awhile. It wasn't that much and makes it super easy. (Slide hammer, expanding 'shoe') I'll have to see what brand, Mark Like this (I think that price is just a collet-) http://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-Bearing-Removal-08-0501/dp/B007GR4POW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1463089422&sr=8-4&keywords=blind+hole+bearing+puller+set
  17. I've had a rock get stuck between the rear of the pedal lever and the frame.

I'm getting an ' Drive Circuit Open' error P1611 Everything seems to work Anyone know what circuit t It referrs to?
  20. I have info also. Note the later 2015 bikes have a 20mm centre rocker shaft. I bought a box of the other bushings. Mark
  21. The manual shows some special, tools to remove the crank.
  22. Yes, it should run excellent bottom to top. No hesitation ever, anywhere.
