  1. I prefer the red galfer pads over the bronze sintered type. The sintered pads seem too hard and score the disc
  2. You could file 5mm off the spacer if a cheap wheel turned up
  3. My current spare wheel is originally from a sherco, it fits the later gas gas pro if you change the drive side spacer. It also fitted my 2006 scorpa using sherco spacers. I'd be surprised if it didn't fit the later 315 mont and 4rt. From all these possibilities you should be able to get a wheel
  4. Depends on year. It's got to have the caliper inside the swung arm like the pro rather than above
  5. There's recently been a topic on this. It's normal
  6. I know of one rider yes, I wonder if he has a sibling....
  7. No I've been running either atf or putoline light gear oil for years. My current bike was new in march 14, I've just changed the mains recently but only because I was splitting the cases to change the needle rollers as a precaution. Mains were still perfect, annoyingly so we're the needle rollers but better safe than sorry
  8. They knock under breaking when they need changing
  9. Hmm. Not disagreeing but our sports problems are set out above. Majority of riders are actually veterans
  10. Met him lots of times at various trials, always had time for a laugh about something. I'll miss seeing him. Sad.
  11. Rode this event yesterday, not for the first time but a number of new sections were included. Just to say thanks to the West Leeds club and all involved including the observers. What a fantastic day out
  12. How much ?that's ridiculous . I can't understand why they make cables too short. Surely the inner is cheaper than the outer? If you always had too much slack I could understand and it would be easier to fix.
  13. Don't see the point in an Ohlins. Showa shock is as good if not better.
  14. Not sure about that John. Think side pull throttles came in a bit earlier than that. I've had this problem with venhill cables a few times as far back as the 80s.
  15. I'd suggest the opposite. Weigh the bike with an empty fuel tank, adjust minimum weight if necessary, then when a random test is carried out there is no fuel related excuse and no mechanic frantically filling the bike. In the paddock they use environmental mat so shouldn't be encouraged to fill up without one on the course ?
  16. But you said that the coolant hasn't dropped? Takes a few changes to get it all out.
  17. Happened to Billy Bolt a few years ago. The bike passed with a full tank of petrol. But when tested after the trial it was empty. Maybe the same happened to becky
  18. You can work round it but lower gearing would increase engine braking and use of second gear ? That rpm on a two stroke without engine braking would be more of a problem hence the battery?
  19. But is that why the tick over is 1800rpm?
  20. Sorry I thought the future was a carb and points according to your previous posts ?
  21. As much as I prefer no stop sections even I can't accept the rule change has made world trials better to watch. I think in part this is due to the sections and venues not really being set for no stop. Venues are picked for trucks and Internet access, sections are basically stop permitted style still. The other problem is that people just cannot observe it in real time. Either allow stop and reversing and re introduce the time element or have rules for sections such as distance between boulders for man made sections.Having riders traverse flat grass between a couple of rocks isn't what I had in mind for a no stop section.
  22. Seen a few posts on the Braktec stuff being not up to scratch. Sadly every manufacturer uses it I think? So whilst it's not good its not really a gas gas only issue. Can't say that for the kickstart gear or clutch
