Is this a Streit JCM or a JCM ? the original JCMs were fitted with a Tau engine the later Streit ones had the same engine as the air cooled Gas Gas, I think originally made by Villa ? either way getting parts will be difficult and most air cooled monos would be an improvement on a JCM Sorry but better you know now before you spend any more....

Not sure on the prices but a wet plug isnt an indication on worn rings on a two stroke. More likely to be mixture is rich or crank oil seals are leaking. Does the engine consume gearbox oil ?

This is from memory The Mont is pure factory. the quality of the suspension on the Mont was miles ahead of the Gas Gas, Bou has factory showa kit and the tester couldnt believe how it performed, very supple on the slow stuff but didnt bottom out on the big hits, 4 speed box, 3 ignition maps tuneable via bluetooth, 300cc at least, footrests are set up for the bike being on the rear wheel, ie they are pitched forwards. And the items that were not titanium or machined ally were basically the mudguards, maybe not quite true but you get the idea. from your photo of the bike you have red hoses fitted. check that the hose isnt expanding somewhere under pressure. It will be harder to spot the problem with the red hose and maybe thats why you havent noticed it ? Had this on a montesa with a Venhill replacement brake hose a few years ago
