A 7mm ring key works just fine.

Used both, and ATF works fine, also maintaince wise I dont see real problems. I see the point of lubrication, but do not forget older models did not lube the crank like the newer models and also still work... So do whatever you feel good with. Clutchwise ATF is working perfectly.

If you fill it all the way it will trow out everything above the fins. I always check if it overflows when you pull in the tubes hard.

Its ''easily'' fixable. You need to set the pack thickness and the fingerheight spot on and it will work just fine. Packt hickness +- 9.75 to 9.85mm Finger height aim at 17,5mm Also check play on the lever should have arround 3mm of free play.

With a small flat crewdriver you can easily undo the clamps by putting it in the small grove and flipping it. With a pointy plier you can close them again. Just keep an eye on the coolant, if not more goes out there should not be a problem.

Looks similar to the GG setup. Just undo the bold (which might be tightly spaced) and you can take it off. Reverse order to mount. Set the brake lever hight with the adjustment nut on the rod.

What if you charge it with a less powerfull generator? Will it be slower, or would it not work? (depends on the charger I quess).

Yeah the sides do the task, but everything helps. And generally it looks a bit used. Especiially on the first picture I spot some ruggd edges. Any bad spot will potentially cause a leak.

It has to seal really propperly in order to keep the low pressure air in. The mounting is really important but I quess you did that well since it worked for some time. Looks like the band is pretty worn, around the spokes, that does not make it easier to seal...

I agree its a special, and tough event. Its more close to the lets say ''old trials''. Totally different and best in its own class. In other countries, for as far as I speak to people, its more like a myth, people heard about it, and understand its tough (and wet). Some wonder about going there and participate (and some do). However if you ask them who won, they wont know. Maybe that is the beauty of the event, a bit mysterious (and did I already say wet?).

There are a lot of factors in play, but Im sure if they participated lets say 5 times, they would win one or more times.

I think first of all people from UK overestimate the ''hollyness'' of the events for a bit. Not to downgrade the event at all, but WTC is priority for the business I quess. I think Bou and Adam would win it, without a doubt when they participate.

Good luck with the bladder! Those black gaskets can be used several times without any problem. THin paper ones are one time only. I think my kickstart problems occured because the previous owner welded the footpegs, in such a way that they stand a little bit upwards. (maybe like bou?). But the kickstarter would grap the whole in the footrest and get stuck. If it then starts the whole system gets a good hit. Now everything will be new so it should work propperly again. Got the bearing last night, so I can fill the whole inside my engine First time I see the inside of the engine from that side.

On your level, as you describe yourself, every well maintained shock will do just fine, but better (more expensive) ones give more setting opportunities. However this shock will do just fine, and its nice that its serviceable.

HAd a problem with my kickstart system of my 05. New springs did not solve, so after some detective work found out that one of the needles in the bearing is broken and a little bit of play occurs on the kickstartshaft. New bearing should solve it!

There are always places to hurt yourself, but more protection is better.. A finger underneath is instant gone...

And it will actually make more sound if you put in too much.
