  1. Rossi alone is worth millions in merchandise only... no comparison with a trials rider. Go to a WTC, you can just walk up to the riders and talk with them...
  2. Investors want a return for their money, and a higher return for more risk. I think a investment in a, to be developed, human skillset is very risky. Take into account possible injuries etc.
  3. I think much much much more. My mom knows who rossi is, not Toni or adam. I think trial riders have good opportunities in enduro/extreme. And this is what we also see happening to ''older'' riders. I think you can earn a lot more money with just one season of enduro in America e.g. See my earlier posts Villipoto earns around 2.500.000 in win bonus (from ama and kawasaki), excluding salary! But look at what money a circuit is earning, or tv rights etc etc.
  4. There are parts laying here and there
  5. It should be the original, I think its the same set as yours? They are stacked so bit hard to see, I can go and check out. Like
  6. I dont know where the race team fits in Honda's finance. I think Toni rides for HRC? Montesa honda is a spanish entity, which is private. So if money goes trough there there is no chance to find it.
  7. Normally ''clean'' starters are performing better after one day of practice, than people with a licence (for many years). Roadwork is very different and you need to de-learn several things. When you are ''fresh'' you only need to learn the correct things.
  8. A friend of mine has a a sort of half trial half mx helmet style type of thingie. Its a attachable sort of bar in front of your theeth/jaw/
  9. THis is also inportant. Not everybody will become like toni or adam. Fun is important. However if you want to progress there should be someone to point out to you how you limitate your further options by having wrong habbits. I find that a lot of wrong things will work, and then the **** hits the fan when trying something extra new. For example one step, quite high, goes really well, but someone states too much power is used. Well you do it a lot of times an no trouble. But then you want to do the step which is 1 meter further, and you will find that they were right. So yes, listen to yourself and make your own style, it should fit you, but also try to listen if you want to progress.
  10. There is special blue fluid for mounting brake parts. We call it smurfs grease, lol. http://www.ebay.de/itm/ATE-BREMSZYLINDER-PASTE-180G-03-9902-0501-2-Bremsenfett-Zylinderpaste-/151080931542
  11. They claimed to ''join forces'', so merge on same base. Firstly they only used parts of the production line of GG which was available, but later they did merge formaly. ''As Ossa CEO Oan Gurt phrased it, the two companies had to put aside their egos in order to realize a stable motorcycle company from Catalunya.'' But in reallity it did look a bit like an acquisition in the end.
  12. Its a one off, not for sale, bike. Its made up mostly with allready existing parts, but still its a one off to test the design. (in this case mainly the collors?)
  13. KTM clearly does not want to acquire extra factories. They sold the BMW freshly build husqvarna plant straight away. So thats why the workers dont want an acquisition. They will loose their job...
  14. There were rumors about KTM and the GG factory, and there was a visit, but thats about all known.
  15. A time ago I was at a kawasaki dealer in the Netherlands looking at some dakar bikes he had collecting dust and noticed a kawa trial. Are there many of those around?
  16. We will see in october. In the meantime some random speculation time! lol
  17. And not only water, you need minerals and stuff. I find that also something like a buff works.
  18. I think people like graham jarbis and other extreme riders got better deals now than during their trial years.
  19. I though that was wat he needed in order to finish the season (so transportation, bike parts, catering, minders etc)
