Build in other front fork (marchossi from 2005 bike reiger tuned), other back spring (reiger), other backwheel+new tyre, new brakepads and wave discs.
Tonight will install alu trumpet for the carb from my other bike, because those plastic ones are rubish.
Tomorow will be riding it!

1th overfilling an engine with oil is never a good idea in my opinion....
Since the only thing you changed is the oil it is most likely that the problem is because of that.
Checking if the clutch master works correctly from time to time is never a bad idea, but well lets stick to the oil as first suspect.
For the pro's you can (or must) use ATF oil
-
As long as the diameter of the plunger is the same its no problem.
-
You never really have to work hard to get the air out of the clutch master in my experience. It sorts of figures itself out. Not a lot of air gets in, and its only at the top of the system
-
Ok, thanks. Will have a look next time when i am in the garage. They looked a bit like rivets to me, so I thought you couldn't get them out without damage to them.
-
Actually thought about it, but this does not solve my problem.
Do i need to drill out the pins on the side?
Because how am I going to mount them back on again?
I can also just trow them away and mount others I have laying around, but would be a bit of a waste of the good clamps.
/read your statement again and so my plan is the same as yours!
-
Maybe the brake fluid solved your problem
-
-
Otherwise they should contact gas gas i quess.
-
How can i remove the steering bar clamps from a gg pro 2008 tripple tree? Since the bolds are underneath the bar holder.
-
The whole is makes it able for the engine to ''breath'' it is kind of directly linked to the air breather pipe. It prevents high preasure in your engine from oil gasses i quess.
-
The engine should be able to breath, so air will come out.
Is the oil clear? or is there water in it? (water is meaning more volume in gearbox = overpressure) This could be a leaking waterpump. (or many things )

Actually there should be an E for 2004:
TRIAL MODEL CHASSIS NUMBERS
1993~2003
Example: VTRGG 2800 0200 9955
VTR = International manufacturers code. VTR = GasGas
GG = Trial model (Company code to identify model EC = Enduro & MX, FS = Four Stroke, WD = Quads)
2800 = 280 model, year 2000
0200:
02 = Manufacture month. (2ND month) February.
00 = Year of manufacture 2000.
9955 = sequential chassis number (9,955th built in this year.)
2004 and newer (after July 2003)
Example: VTRGG 3002 D093 9955
VTR = International manufacturers code. VTR = GasGas
GG = Trial model (Company code to identify model EC = Enduro & MX, FS = Four Stroke, WD = Quads)
3002:
30 = 300 model.
02 = (02 = year of Europe homogulation N/A USA)
D093:
D = 2003 ALPHA CODE FOR MODEL YEAR.
09 = Manufacture month (9TH month) September.
3 = Year of manufacture 2003.
9955 = sequential chassis number. (9,955th built in this year.)
“Alpha” model year codes Model engine size codes
D = 2003 J = 2008 12 = 125cc
E = 2004 K = 2009 20 = 200 model (175cc)
F = 2005 L = 2010 25 = 250cc
G = 2006 M = 2011 28 = 280 model (272cc)
H = 2007 N = 2012 30 = 300cc

The iddle screw only adjustes the hight of the slide. So has nothing to do with the mixture.
Still the fuel screw makes it richer/leaner (should be around 2.5/3.5 out>bigger pilot jet)
-
It differs how they are fit with different years.
But the cdi goes on the leftside of the bike
/im sorry its not a pro model you have.
-
IS the small washer behind the spring of the airfuelscrew still there? Also on the idle plug?
-
I am actually a bit stuck at removing the clamp. I got the upper one off, the lock ring, a plastick cap, some spacer, than there is the upper bearing, but there is no thing to grip on. The axle is treaded, and so i have to turn the ''ring'' which is on the inside of the bearing off right? how?
While i am asking, somebody know if there are small plates on the market to fit the old steering lock place?
/ think I had a little bit of a brain fart lol, looked at pictures of the bearings and there is no treaded ring, its like
https://www.google.nl/search?q=head+bearings+gas+gas&espv=2&biw=1280&bih=933&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=xIQkVKKKMsPXauKngogD&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#imgdii=_
Quess its stuck in by grease, because even a bit of hammering with plastick hammer didn't do anything.
-
Unfortunatly the dutch importer is bankrupt for some years now.
Some update:
I found some possible explanation on this forum: http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/19871-gas-gas-marzocchi/
I put the reiger adjusted (# 1040: Gas Gas Trial, 2005 4.4 Lk 120mm rider weight 80-85 kg) 2005 forks in now, which are much much stiffer and feel way better than the 38mm forks. I will also add a reiger stronger spring on the back and will than adjust settings.
-
Maybe thats a better design, since the older style come out too easily most of the time...
Good that you made it and thanks for sharing!
-
Still doesn't say which model it actually is though
-
Short question,
do they fit together?
-
Looks a bit like one of the thin rings which can be between the kickstarter shaft or something.
Would defenitly open the clutchside to see if its not part of a bearing, and try to find what it is. Shouldn't mean extreme trouble, but could be something which definitly needs attention.
I had:
Broken bearing on the gear between the kickstartgear and the clutch. Also some broken clutch bearings, and some bearings in the tranny that broke. (multple (OLD) bikes)
But its difficult to see what it exactly was.
If you cant find anything there, you will probably have to search elsewhere ...
/read the last part of your post now, could mean you have to split the engine yes... but like I said first look at the other side.
-
Yeah, thats the overflow. But still shouldn't gas coming out of there?
-
The waterpump is an issue, needs refurbishing from time to time. The axle is grinded in a bit and so you need new axle (and rehaul kit). Cooling liquid could destroy your clutch plates so its a point to keep checking.
If its your only problem is hard to tell trough the internet.
-
2005 or even 2004 onwards will fitt, 2003 and 2002 had 38 mm (if i remember well.) Look at the triple trees and you will see.
