Is there a video anywhere online that anyone is aware of for a walk through talk through for linkage removal and replacements. Got a bit of up and down play (about half inch) when bike is on sump stand . Thanks
Well I may as well bang some seals in if I'm taking them off ! .. On top of fork where the adjusters are do they need removing before you crack top nut off !! Thanks
Sorry . I mean do fork legs have to be removed to refill with oil ... I've seen some dirt bikes were the top nut is simply removed and oil poured in the top with forks still attached to bike .. Thanks
Idles the fork leg have to bee moved to refill oil .. I've seen some dirt bikes where they simply remove the nut at top of leg and pour in with folks still in yolks and attached to bike ?? Thanks
Hey all !! So please has anyone got any tips on rear suspension maintainance .. I was thinking my rear may need a nitrogen recharge , but it's still bouncy and it's a costly job . 110 quid for new seals and oil and recharge .. How often do they need recharging and what can I do maintainance wise .. Thanks
It was my post about the txt pal ,, yeah if your sherco clutch is hydraulic it will have a reservoir at the lever end .. Usually two screws on top to open up reservoir and this is where your brake fluid goes . Then you simply bleed through once replenished. If your fluid is dark it needs changing ..
It's defo dot 4 ... Will stripping clutch and cleaning plates help .. I'm at nearly a grand I've spent restoring this gasser and would prefer not to be buying new plates ?? Thanks
Firstly thanks for all your help and support getting this bike up and going . I've got a 2002 txt pro 280 . When engine is cold the clutch is virtually useless, however it does improve when oil temp rises . But still I believe it could be better . Is this normal ... New dot 4 oil and been bleed several times . Thanks guys
Let's us know how you get on ... I've just had to drain my gas gas tank due to excessive some and oil splutter but it was too much 2 stroke and was not intermittent ...
Hey all pretty much sorted with this txt pro 280 2002 ! Running sweet , just one thing though when ever I am going up and over obstacles even small logs the bike is cutting out .. I'm a pretty new rider but it bugging me . Up and over a log then cuts out on landing it ... Any ideas
Hey all . Got a gas gas txt pro 280 2002 . Owned it for two months and ran it on normal super unleaded with a 60:1 ratio of some pretty cheat carlube 2 stroke ... Ran good first time kicker just a little smokey . But I put that down to 60:1 of cruddy 2 stroke. So when I finished my 5 litres I switched to high octane unleaded with the best castrol 2 stroke money can buy . Had a trial ran good , then next time came to use it it wouldn't start . Spark good but plug mega wet. Any way flushed tank and switched back to super unleaded mixed with the castrol 2 stroke and it kicked first time .... Does carb need adjusting for high octane fuel
.. I might also mention I installed dual stage boyesen reeds when I switched fuels . Thanks in advance
I put 7 weight in my gas gas . 5 w soft and bouncy 7 w slightly firmer and 10w firmer again . Personal choice . However you like it . Just either thicker or thinner
