Found a cheap ish cdi and coil ,changed ....... all good we have a spark again , I thought cdi bit also as I was resistance testing the secondaryon the coil I would loose a reading if the ht lead was pulled a certain way ,thand for all the help ,and if anyone has a 125 trials about a 2000 could do a swap with this one ( maybe for the safety of the missus ?)

Morning , yea checked kill switch and unplugged it to try that still the same, checked all earth's untaped any bits of the loom I could find to test checked all plugs checked continuity each side of em all but may try a new cap later haven't tried that , this forum is great so many people trying to help ?

Sorry guys and girls me back again but defo no spark must have looked odd garage lights going on and off , and woodruff key perfect , coil seems to have the same/similar ohms readings to my cota 315r ........ Got to be the cdi .... right ??

Hi I'm 99% sure there is none I will check in a dark shed later but I have a thing that goes In line to the plug that flashes when the plug sparks and nothing I tested the coil ohms values but I'm unsure of what they should be ?

Anyone know what ohms readout I should be getting from the ignition coil ?? Thanks for all your help guys

Ah ok cool thanks for your help I don't have a puller for the flywheel tho , may ask about a few mates are into there bikes maybe they will have one ? thanks

I've just been out now check continuity each side of all plugs and connectors spades etc ...... nothing , checked continuity with the 3 wires just as they come out the engine to plug at the top too , starting to get annoyed now ?? any ideas peops ???

Thanks for all the ideas I did try the kill switch and will change all the spades I can find tonight , as for the girlfriend starting on a 321 its all I could find at good money , I wanted a 125 really but this one came up local at a good price

I was the thinking about that but wouldn't it still spark just not at the right time , the flywheel doesn't seem loose and spins when it's kicked over , thanks for your help

Can I some how test the coil and cdi ????

Just bought my girlfriend this bike so we can ride together took it out for the first time got her on it off up the hill she went got towards the top bit to stiff and a bit too much throttle and up she came flipped off the back on grass nothing to bad she was ok pretty much just stepped off it ,but now the bike has no spark can anyone help I've started stripping but just need a bit of help now all plugs connecters look ok many thanks Dave (bristol )

Hi peops im new to the whole trials thing just bought a 2000 315r and I have noticed that if you hold the front brake you can move the wheel a little bit feels like theres play in the head stock if you know what I mean any help on this would be great also anywhere in bristol I can get used to riding it too would be amazing

hi my names dave just managed to get a bike after wanting one for years I done a bit of motocross riding about 8 years ago (just playing really no racing ) and alwats wanted to have a go at trials I have seen some time trials and woukd like to give that a go as another mate of mine has just bought a trial bike and another mate has a crosser but before the time trials I could really do with a field or some woods to play about in , so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great cheers Dave ...2000 montesa cota 315r Lee ....2002 sherco Pete ....99 cr 125
