Looks like it. Was £2000 though. Cost £3500 to build. I may do another sometime

Search fantic tx250 on FaceBook. Ask there. Mine is stunning.
-
I don’t think so. Didn’t want to sell it really. Being collected on Friday.
-
Hi. Looks like I sold it today.
-
I've seen the name Bill Pye on here. I found his number, is it ok to just ring him?
-
It's about 1980. 32mm.
What grade oil should I use? And what quantity? Was told 5 or 10 grade and 200ml or maybe 250ml,...bit Vague!

hi guys. I'm needing to change my fork oil and fit spacers as I have an inch of sag. I Dropped front wheel out. Loosened yokes, but can't undo top screw/bolt. All the chrome bit is turning. Did back up but the whole thing is just turning. I'm f****d if I can't get the nut off. Ordered spacers. Will get oil (once I figure out the type and quantity). There's no way I can change the seals. Never done it. How can I hold the chrome bit tight to get the top bolts out? They are 32mm. Cheers!

Morning guys. Thought I'd update. I bought a Fantic 125 from richard Allen. It's one of the ones from Italy. I recon it's a 1980. But unmellested. Original bars, grips, exhaust, even had the lights and speedo. straight as a die. Had it a week. But not riden it other than on my drive. Now looking for a riding buddy and somewhere to go. Think the clutch is a little heavy. It's got a mod on it, but the extension is only about half an inch. If I make something longer, will it lighten? Think i'll change the bars and grips. As its a shame to bend the original ones. Any input much appreciated.

BOLLOCKS!!! Missed it. is it on u-tube, anyone know?

Anybody near me, in Radstock, I'd love to come out for a ride. HAVNT got my bike yet. Still don't know what to do. There are a few modern 125s around at reasonable prices. Fancy a four stroke to.
-
Hi Jon. What's your surname? Still riding? I want to ride again, but I'm not confident I can still do it! 53 now. Old grey beard. No, not doing much photography! Very little.
Thanks again guys.
-
I'm near bath. Any if you guys local to me? Thanks again for all the advice.
-
Cheers guys for the observations. Appreciated. All noted. Looked at the eBay link. Yeovil, really local to me to, as I'm in bath. Looks ideal.
-
Thanks. Yeah, was thinking maybe a 201. But not sure on the rules on age (I'm 53) and mono, route etc. I'll want to start again as a novice. I recon I've a budget of a grand.
-
Yeah. I was shocked at the prices! Can't remember how much I sold my last fantic for, 500 quid maybe!
-
Thanks. Yes, I've seen them to. They are rare. And a bit expensive, maybe. Just want a bit of fun. Wasn't a brilliant rider 30 years ago, so not going to be any good now!

I rode trials in the '80s. But stopped in 1986, for financial reasons. I had a lot of bikes, but liked the fantic 200 professional the best. I'm thinking of riding again and looking at the new bikes. I didn't like the 240 fantic, too much power. Looked at modern stuff but no idea which is best. Beta, Gasgas, sherco, to name a few. If I go down the fantic route (no pun intended) it's not easy to find a nice one. I have lost a lot of my confidence so no plans to win any championships. I had a brief ride on a 270 gasgas & hated it. It nearly dislocated both of my shoulders! Wonder if anyone has any input?
