  1. I personally would stick with a bike that the manufacturer is still in business. Call me crazy!!!!
  2. The biggest thing is not chopping the throttle off completely on hazards or obstacles. Use your clutch more to control your slow riding and if engine breaking is messing you up use your clutch to counteract it.
  3. If the pads get to worn they can sometimes not return properly and set at an angle and cause brake dragging
  4. Well hopefully your kidding! All 2 stroke Betas have alwayse and will alwayse be on Leaft side. 4t's are alwayse right side

    4T Rear Shock

I agree the stock suspension is fine. Who would this rider be you speak of?

    4T Rear Shock

Nothing wrong with the Sachs shock as long as you get the right spring for your weight. Taking a light spring and twisting up the preload to compensate for a big guy will destroy your dampening abilities and ruin the shock. Most standard bikes are sprung for about 165 to 175 pounds.
  7. Check out Millerranchtrials.com. they do a 3 part vintage series every year. Spring ,summer, and fall. The fall event is October 18th ,in Corning My, 19 miles south of Watkins Glenn. Come join us
  8. DO NOT run any Ethenol gas in that machine,
  9. A just air mixture screw
  10. The linkless rear shock is un serviceable by most suspension guys. Due to paioli never released the internal seal specs or internal shock info. To my knowledge parts were never made available from aioli. They wanted you to send your dead shock to them and buy a rebuilt at approx 800 dollars from your beta dealer.

    2016 Evo

Usually around the T.D.N time frame.
  12. It's an Olle" rear shock on the standard bike. Just like what Sherco and scorpas use on their bikes. It is a far cry from the showa
  13. the evo's are absolutely easy to start weather it be a 200 0r a 300 factory! no snap back no standing on both pegs to get it to kick over, if you have a leg then you have no worries my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. First off! If the engine dosent sound like a fine tuned sewing machine ther is something wrong with. They should be almost whisper quiet ! Unlike the monty's. As for kick over hot or cold! JUST REMEMBER. cycle the kick start slowly a cple times then give it a nice soft kick. At the bottom of the stroke pop the throttle just a tad and you will have no problems. I ran a 08 250 in expert class and it did everything i asked it to. Run good oil because they lubricate clutch and top end with the same oil. The monty runs two seperate lubrication sysyems.make sure the air filter is alwayse clean and do not over oil it as the 250 4ts will get choked out with to much filter oil. You do all that and realistically you should not have to touch the valves. Great bike in my opinion better than that obnoxtiously loud Monty!

    Forks

Hello. After you pop the fork seal out inspect it for any nicks or damage to the lip. If there is no visible damage pull the tension spring out of the seal.find where the ends connect and twist it apart. One end will be taperd. Take your side cutters and nip a tad off the nonntaperd end. Twist it back together and put it back in your fork seal. This will tighten the seal and save you some coin.
  16. Hello! Does anybody have any insight to weather Beta will offer a factory edition this year?
