i would like to finish in alloy, galvanised sheets etc
And pop rivet to steel frame
Not sure how to design a lid which keeps the contents dry
I don't think the car would shelter the box on the move
REPLACING THE FRONT GUARD WITH AN 05 Montesa 315 (WHITE) HAS CURED MY FRIENDS PROBLEM
THIS SEEMS TO BE TO ONLY GUARDS THAT DON'T GET BRITTLE AND SNAP / CRACK FROM THE COLD WEATHER
THE SHERCO GUARDS ARE VERY POOR
BUT CHEAPER THAN THE STICKERS
Try second gear from cold
My 4rt clutch would not disengage (was like that from new)
But the dealer rubbed the plates, and it now works fine
Bleeding the clutch may also help
seems like it is in need of a service
the book recommends 75-1 petrol / oil
1 clean the air filter and air filter box
2 replace plug
3 drain oil from clutch
4 remove clutch plates and lightly with 800 grade emery rub both metal and fibre plate
5 refit clutch and refil with oil

i think turning up the tickover to the suggested 1800-1850 rpm is the answer

its true i did purchase a piston and rings for 01 315r
they are sitting in a box in my garage
i ordered after reading the manual and the age of the bike
but the rings were gummed up
after a good cleaning the piston and rings were put back
the bike did not ratttle
interesting to hear you have had prob's with both 4rt's
THE 315 MANUAL SAY'S THE SAME THING ABOUT PISTONS AND RINGS
MYSELF AND MY SON HAD OUR 315 FOR 2-3 YEARS
THE ENGINES WERE STILL TIGHT
THE SECRET IS GOOD QUALITY 2 STROKE OIL
AS FOR THE 4RT
I BELIVE THAT HONDA / MONTESA BUILD GOOD KIT

it seems logicial that a throttle body would not make a difference
part of the wireloom is removed to unrestricted the bike
maybe this is the prob!
