+1 on the Novogars. Had mine just over a year and they are wearing very well. My previous pair were oiled Gaernes and although comfy out of the box they broke down very quickly. The Novogars are a bit stiffer and take a bit of breaking in but are much more resilient and now very comfy. I feel they are a tad higher and give more protection than the Gaerne.
I couldn't understand why the floating disc of the rev3 was dropped infavour of the Evos fixed disc. I get more squeaks out of my evo rear brake than ever I did with the rev. I assume this is simply the lack of clearance tolerance not accomodating any minor warp of the disc or wheel? Seems a backward step on a trials bike.
I think you have to be choosy though - whilst I wouldn't have any hesitation buying your ex SSDT bike, I might have to think twice about buying one someone less capable had ridden - as there might be a few more battle scars!!
My pleasure Steve - hope it gives you as much pleasure as it has me.
Just don't forget you have it on when towing on the motorway - like I did once when I stopped daydreaming and noted I was doing xxxx mph.
See you Wednesday for your first trial
Ben Hemingway - Beta Evo300 4T - leading the Scottish six days into the last day. Any doubters that this bike can cut the mustard in top level competition?
I
Hardly worth it - had mine well over a year and jetwashed twice a week and never even had the carb off to clean it. Goes as clean as a whistle. I am of the 'ain't broke don't fix it' clan.
