  1. A little help please. The beta manual indicates 20mm gap between tensioner and swing arm. Is this with the bike on the floor or with shock fully extended with the bike on a work stand? I've just bought a new AFAM front sprocket but it doesn't fit the splines although it's suppose to be for a 2008 and the part number on it is correct for a 2008 beta. I've only just got the bike and it looks like a 2008 but I could have been conned! Anyone else had any problems with sprockets not being correct? Cheers, Phil
  2. Hi folks, just looking for a bit of advise. I've just got a Rev3 250 2008 and now realized that it needs a bit of fixing. The chain tensioner pivot bolt has been glued in to the swinging arm because the thread is stripped. I'm going to heli-coil this - has anyone done this and had any issues or found a better way to repair? It also needs a new set of chain and sprockets but I can't seem to find out what the standard setup should be. I'm an absolute beginner so I now have the opportunity to get the best for what would suit me even if that isn't standard - looking for some advice please. I've also noticed the side stand is lose and I'm expecting to find a problem with those fixings too. I've not had a close look at them as I'd had enough bad news (with the chain tensioner) for one evening. Is there a known problem with the side stand? Thanks for your help, Phil
  3. Thanks for the info. Are the numbers on a welded on plate (or raised area) if you see what I mean, or just stamped into the tube shape of the headstock? Cheers, Phil.
  4. Hi Folks, I've seen a 2008 Sherco 250 for sale which the owner said has had the frame powder coated and the frame number painted over. Could anyone please take close up photo of the position of their frame number so that I know exactly where the paint should be removed to reveal the numbers. Many thanks for your assistance. Phil
