  1. He had a huge mental meltdown. He basically five'd a section, then just gave up. It was bizarre to see, because at this level, even hot heads can usually re-group to an extent. He just said 'F it', I'm done. I think it would have looked less bad had he just walked off before the last four sections. After Vendee I was really expecting Busto to be competition for Adam, but if he pulls this crap with any regularity it's never gonna happen.

  3. Click on an event name (not the buy option, but the name of the event is a link). It should be on the next page.
  4. Hallelujah! https://www.x-trial.com/en/news/x-trial-video-pass-available If I had to complain <<EDIT Never mind! I see now there's a season pass option. Nice job X-Trial promoters.
  5. I'm saying that if Bou was put on a bog standard 4rt with modifications equivalent to all the other bikes run by the Pros (they all run the same top flight Tech forks for instance), yes, he'd still crush everybody.

    18 GG?

Sorry, I only speak Italian and American english, lol. What's the room that everyone congregates in to watch TV and hang out on the sofa called in the UK? I guess the lounge?
  7. Yeah, I'd say it was a bit of him unloading on Sherco for sure. I suppose he's old enough now that he doesn't have to worry about bouncing around between too many more manufacturers!

    18 GG?

Perhaps not entirely. Certainly possible and likely, but since there's now an Ohlins rear shock on the GP, you might see something different on the Racing. But otherwise...

    18 GG?

You need to do what i do: keep your GP in the living room. Then you won't forget!
  10. Ok, I'll concede the vintage point. It basically makes my real point stronger anyway, which is that the bike matters not.
  11. I don't disagree. My point, regarding vintage, was just that there could be bigger gaps in performance among various machines.
  12. I don't share your opinion. Dabill on Bou's bike still finishes where he always has. The Montesa isn't a magic bullet. If it were Fuji would always be second.
  13. The only thing that makes one trials bike 'better' than another is the guy riding it. Trials is basically the only motor sport where the bike is such a small part of the equation as to be nearly irrelevant (assuming we're talking about modern bikes... obviously what's now vintage went through a long evolution to get us here).

    18 GG?

It's not actually... the only 2018 GG has released is the GP. The Racing models being sold are still 'last year's' 2017 E4's.
  15. Now that everyone's clear on that maybe they'll sell more bikes. Or not.
  16. FWIW, my GG clutch doesn't rattle any more than my Vertigo clutch did.
  17. Sounds like every trials bike clutch I've ever come across, although that might vary depending on your definition of 'loud'.
  18. Gasgas already makes an econo with electric start... Im sure they'll turn up in other non competition type trials bikes.
  19. Design wise it's not to my taste, too modern, but that's not really the point. That the space exists and he's got this stuff is cool enough for me. The fact that he's got it in a modern basement while I'd rather it be in a 1700's barn is besides the point.
  20. I don't disagree with the negativity sentiment. However, it's possible to hold two thoughts simultaneously: my feeling that more could be done online does not amount to disparagement of existing efforts.
  21. You realize now that you're simply arguing because you're unwilling to change your viewpoint. My argument is simply this: trials needs to make events viewable by people other than those within the nearest 100 miles, and the internet, it turns out, is a jolly good way to make that happen. Your argument seems to be screw off, if you want to see it, fly there. I don't get how that's a tenable stance for anyone who cares about trials to have.
  22. By the way, I don't buy that at all. First off, I don't have to respect something simply because it exists. Not providing content online these days is generally foolish (F1 anybody?). If you want to charge for it, well and good, at least it's still available (yay Dorna and MotoGP!). But not providing it in any fashion, for a sport that doesn't have any TV coverage in most cases, makes zero sense from any angle you want to look at it. Who exactly would lose out on the indoor series being streamed? The local promoter? Please. If the scale you're concerned with is a few hundred people in a tiny stadium, you've totally missed the boat. Like I said, the trials community is global, people want access to content. Not providing it at all is no different than providing it for free, the exception being you're doing nothing to promote and everything to kill the sport by keeping it locked in a closet. Step one, provide the content. Build the audience with a good product. Start charging when you're confident people will want to stick around to see it.
  23. FimTV, which is where the X-Trial videos were previously being shown (and where they had some full events last year) has 51k subs.
  24. I can't! You know why? The f#$cking FIM would send me a cease and desist order, and then tell the service I streamed it to to pull it down. How about this? If someone can assist me with getting press credentials and leave to film the indoor series, I'll fly myself to every event and live stream it on Instagram.
