1. Ishy
2. Perce
3. Kinell
And now, being realistic..
1. Jarvis. Not because I think he's best rider in the field this year, but because Malcolm knows every trick in the book...
2. Dabill. With his ability and on a bike that's been proven to do the job on the Scottish the lad could do VERY well.
3. Ben Hemmo. He might be gay, but we shouldn't hold that against him and he does know his stuff when it comes to the Scottish. (He's gonna kill me for this!)
Wiggy - not this year. (He's down on the entry list as riding a 300cc - is that right???) I'd give him this year to find his feet and maybe another year to suss the moors, but I'd place a wager on him winning in 2009. I think best first-timer is in the bag though and a top 10 finish entirely possible.

Playing devil's advocate - If the ballot is truly a random ballot - which it would appear to be and surely what everybody wants, then why shouldn't he be part of that?
As for my personal opinion, I think those who supported the event time after time when it went through its hard times should be in by default. If it wasn't for their continued support the event could easily have died.

The Lagnaha question is simple. The first Monday of the SSDT is always a Bank Holiday in the UK so people are off work anyway. Apart from the SSDT, many Trials fans/riders will be up for the Pre-65 and carry their trip over to take in the first day of the SSDT as they don't have work on the Monday. Lagnaha is South of Forth William and therefore en route home for the majority of spectators. It makes sense for them to stop and take these sections in before carrying on their journey home.

Can't this be resolved with them? This can't be the only site that has multiple domain names pointing to the same physical website?
-
I very much doubt that. Duncan is definitely one of the characters of the modern SSDT and that TYZ of his is almost legendary. Has anybody ever ridden the same bike so many times in the SSDT?
I'm amazed he didn't get an entry as he did support the event during it's hard times, but then it could just show the ballot is not as fixed as some people think.

I *think* this is Octagon's last year of their existing contract. If that is the case I'd dearly love to see the FIM refuse to renew it. Amateur is an understatement.

Whilst it may seem like ages away, I'm making the most of what is a "quiet time" for me in the calendar to plan 2007 and that includes the British world round at Hawkstone and, in particular, the Trials Central get-together.
2005 was the first get-together. It was totally informal and not restricted to Trials Central folk. Unfortunately things got slightly out of control due to a very small minority of non-Trials Central people who couldn't handle their drink.
2006 was, I believe, a total success. Lessons were learned from 2005, access was controlled to ensure it was actually Trials Central readers and members who were allowed in and feedback afterwards indicated all who attended had a great time.
The one thing that did put a damper on things in 2006 (literally!) was when the heavens decided to open and the tent wasn't big enough to accomodate everybody. The tent was very kindly paid for by the organisers of the event. It was pretty big, but obviously not big enough. Marquee tents are expensive and I cannot and would not expect the organisers to provide unlimited resources.
So... The question is, would people attending in 2007 be willing to pay a pound or two per Trials Central Party wristband to help pay for a bigger marquee tent in case the weather does what it did last year? I don't know exact costs. At this stage I'm just sussing out whether people would find that acceptable or not. Any profit made would just be invested in adding more to the free drinks and food
PS. Format for 2007 will be the same as previous years - big screen Trials videos in the marquee, limited free drinks and bring your own food barbecue (providing I can coax Heath out of retirement!)

I got Jake's spam on that too
-
Schwarz don't help pay for this site. Sandifords do.

-
That'll be the same as this topic then...
-
Probably not a good idea... clicky link

Can somebody buy me
please?
-
You might be what!!!???
Sounds a bit German to me. Gas chambers if you offend the Wonderbra - or at very least the Russian front.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - brilliant!
-
Good pics again. Big crowd. Is it popular there? Most of the Russian people I get trying to register for the forums are spammers

Having studied the headers, it is clear that the email did originate from the ACU. However, I don't believe "spamming" was the intention. An error was obviously made where the sender used "cc" to send the email instead of "bcc" (blind carbon copy where you don't get to see who else the email has been sent to) but apart from that, it's nothing sinister. It's purely notifying members of a discount deal that has been set up - okay it's not particularly relevant to Trials, but it's better it came from them than them selling your details to third parties.
I'm not a member so don't know, but do they have an opt-in/opt-out policy for "junk mail"? If not, they need one to prevent this kind of thing happening again.

Why would Gas Gas, a totally Spanish company with no decent Japanese riders riders on their books (that I know of) be testing a bike in Japan? Vid has no sound - for me anyway so can't even tell if it is a four banger.
-
Some good photos there. Nice DOF. Are they yours? If so, what camera?
Wish I could understand the comments
-
Mail them to me too please - along with the original email. There is a certain naivety exists within Trials when it comes to Net etiquette, but as people become more and more protective of their email addresses there is a potential DPA issue here and as an avid hater of spam, if it didn't come from the ACU and they didn't sanction it then how did this third party get hold of your email addresses?
-
And I will be there for both days of the Pre-65 and the full SSDT week this year (because I'm not going to Japan or Guatamala - yippee!) and I will fulfill on my promise to publicy shame those who jeapordise these events with their selfishness and laziness.
-
Perce has, but none that could be published on here

If you've had notification that a subscription payment has gone through then all is fine. PayPal isn't sending confirmation of subscription payments back to the membership system like it's suppposed to so I'm having to check the payment notification emails manually and re-upgrade folks accounts.
-
Yes please - don' know why, but PayPal don't send back a payment confirmation to the membership system so it doean't update your account automatically. You'll still get an email reminder next year, just the payment won't happen automatically. Better that way anyway.
-
Scorpa - you should have got an email from me.
If anybody has a subscription set up in Paypal - please cancel them. They're my fault but causing some headaches.
